WTH?!!gaah

...I shoulda known:(.
Well you were doin’ all that gloating about the nice warm weather down south. Mother Nature is trying to keep you humble 😂

Upper 30s now, heading to mid-40s today.
Got word last night that power has been restored to our New House - sooo thankful, as we have a quarter side of beef in the freezer there. Since the tornado hit (EF-1) the county the crews there have asked people to stay off the roads. While it wasn't a big tornado, a lot of debris and downed power lines in a hilly, rural area is a challenge - so I honored that request. But I would have had to go out today to hook up the generator.
Now I'm just going out to assess any damage. From the neighbors' accounts, our area was lucky.

the sky is falling yet again, this run of snow should really pull the frost out of the ground. MMM Mud, and ruts and.....

It would appear that it is still snowing, 8" on the ground, prolly a foot fell today, the driveway gravel is still bare for now around 40 f .

Not bad for this time of the year.

Took the gkids fishing yesterday. It was cold, windy and rainy. When we got home the rain turned to snow. We got over 6" of snow and a coating of freezing rain over night. It's been snowing off and on today. On Wednesday I took the studded tires off the wife's Grand Cherokee and we have a 500 mile trip tomorrow.

Looks like weather in my hood is taking a turn for the better after two weeks of cold, drab and dreary, and light snow in the forecast.

Bright side is I was in between record snow fall to the north and severe storms to the south of the last few days.... and the weatherman is predicating sun and warmer weather. :)
