Dorian now CAT 5, Bahamas are in deep doo-doo!!

https://www.foxnews.com/us/hurricane-dorian-bahamas-warning-florida-carolinas

Excerpt: "A menacing Hurricane Dorian is taking aim at the northern Bahamas early Sunday, strengthening to a "catastrophic" Category 5 storm -- packing winds of 160 mph and the threat of torrential rain that could last for days as millions in the U.S. along the Southeast coast from Florida to North Carolina are keeping an eye on where the storm may head next.

The National Hurricane Center as of 8 a.m. Sunday reported the center of the Category 5 storm was located around 35 miles east of Great Abaco Island in the Bahamas and 225 miles east of West Palm Beach, as it was moving west at 8 mph with maximum sustained winds of 160 mph.

Dorian is an "extremely dangerous" hurricane according to Fox News Senior Meteorologist Janice Dean, who said the storm is set to deliver a "devastating blow" to the northwest Bahamas Sunday through Monday."

I'm way up in Mobile County, Alabama. Looks like Florida may get very lucky and Dorian will turn North before it hits Florida,

VenomJ I got worried for a minute. Though ti was todays storm.
Thanks for the updates. I need to pay attention.

Its been wonderful up here in the mtns. 79° with a light breeze. We are at 19 inches of rain for the year. Down at the other place it hasn't been as hot as normal and much wetter. Only 87 today and 14 inches for the year. Much better than the 2 inches (for the year!) we had a few years ago.

Almost identical numbers as Jim. 91 was our old high, today 95. Tomorrow is down to 93. We had .03 rain for September. Heard tonight it was our 2nd hottest Sept on record. We are still way over on rainfall for the year. I think more than 10". On the plus side this weekend we are suppose to drop into the low to mid 80's. I for one can't wait.

Today our forecast is unseasonably high temps for the foreseeable future. Over half the state is in "extreme drought" conditions.

The weatherman on the tv actually said "We are hoping for a break in the temperatures next week". (wait, this is monday right?) "There might be some rain then but we can't predict a day this far out".

Lets see... to sum it up! "Hope" "Might" "Can't" "Far out man!". They have no clue! o_O
