As wide as this hurricane is we will get rain and wind on the east coast even though Helene is supposed to impact the Big Bend area.
We live on the Fla/Ga border NW of Jacksonville. We are 45 miles inland from the Atlantic so don’t have to worry about big waves.
Are we ready? We stay ready, the only thing we have to do is make sure both our trucks fuel tanks are full.
Thanks for thinking of us!!
That's good to know.
Helene update:
It is in the eye of the needle and already tasting the waters of the gulf and getting stronger.
Movement has slowed down from 12 to 10mph. If it gets in the gulf and slows down more, that could be bad. :(
Movement direction has also changed from WNW to NNW.
Looks like our firing-order will be: RPD, Magus, and then Bacpacker. Which day, depends on movement speed.

The forecast-cone has also gotten narrower which means they are more confident with their 'guesstimation'.

70s today. We had 1.08" of rain overnight. Had a few storms. Heavy rain moving up from Alabama right now. Flash flood warning for next several hours. The the outer bands of Helene hit tomorrow afternoon. We'll be getting heavy rain into Friday at least
Stay safe and keep your head down.
