I am looking up generators to get an additional one. Our power is not reliable in normal times and this one looks to be like a week or more

NC looks like it got hit worse, we used to go camping in the areas that are underwater now. Wow, incredible , even the interstate washed away

Helene's hardest-hit zone to receive welcome reprieve from heavy rain​

Indications point toward a tropical feature that will organize and strike the Florida Peninsula next week with torrential rain and the likelihood of flooding.

Still in the 90° rut!!

We are having to say goodbye to our wonderful 90's.
Only upper 80's for the last 2 weeks.
Since I can find something good in anything, just the slight drop in temps seems to have zapped the energy from the mosquitoes.
I haven't taken a hit in 4 days, or even seen one in the last 3!
Maybe 'fall' won't be so bad after all.
