We are getting the Northern fringe of Helene. It has been raining for the last two days. Still overcast and cool, temps in the high 60's-low 70's, but the rain has stopped.

looks like half the southeast is out of power
I am looking up generators to get an additional one. Our power is not reliable in normal times and this one looks to be like a week or more
NC looks like it got hit worse, we used to go camping in the areas that are underwater now. Wow, incredible , even the interstate washed away

Surprisingly mild and dry but windy - the UK is about to get hit with a storm though.
Helene's hardest-hit zone to receive welcome reprieve from heavy rain
AccuWeather meteorologists expect generally dry conditions to grace the southeastern United States next week as cleanup and recovery efforts continue into early October.

Even as Hurricane Helene was pressing toward the Florida coast, AccuWeather's team of expert meteorologists has been monitoring part of the Gulf of Mexico for yet another round of tropical trouble. Indications point toward a tropical feature that will organize and strike the Florida Peninsula next week with torrential rain and the likelihood of flooding.

It has been there all while Helene was doing her stuff... All those pics I posted showed it South of Mexico going around in circles, now it is turning after churning...!!!

Lows mid 30's highs mid 60's. We're getting high winds with blowing dust and smoke. There must be a new fire somewhere nearby.
