The possible snow totals are jumping up fast!! They are calling for up to 8" in DFW, maybe 10-12" out my way!!

17F here but the wind settled down so it's fine to be outside. We have maybe a couple inches of fluffy snow...nothing serious. We're supposed to be below freezing for the next 10 days at least and we will pick up some more snow...maybe double or even triple the amount we have now. *yawn*
You guys get all the fun. This is a really boring winter for us so far.
(Seriously, I really do hope everyone stays warm and isn't in harm's way!)

How many times can the forecast change?? Now we might have an icy snow event!! 23Ā° now, 30's today kinda cloudy!
Struggling to get above 2degrees here. Last night about -4 then today snow. Giving to drop to -8 tonight which is pretty cold for us. Will make for interesting driving tomorrow.
We ended up with about 6" of snow on top of 1/2 inch of ice. It is clear now, but temps are in the teens, so it isn't going anywhere. Supposed to be clear and frigid cold until the weekend. Temps will rise, but we are supposed to get more snow.

Roads blow closed not long after they're plowed.
They're keeping the major arteries open mostly and the emergency routes

Well this is technically weather in my area (the cave)...
Ignore the 'indoor temperature' and pay attention to the perilously low 31% humidity.
Never seen it this low before.
I am being electrocuted every time I move in or out of my chair with static sparks!!!
(oh BTW, I do keep my room 'toasty-warm')

Sunday we had massive thunderstorms that made power go out more than once. Was out for at least an hour each time. I slept through it. But it killed our starlink satellite dish. Monday was sunny but cool. Today it was cold throughout and was down to 32 by 9pm. Currently 31.

The weather people here are sounding a little nuts this morningā¦ They donāt know whats going to happen. The weather models are all over the place. Friday morning I might have 2 inches of snow or 2ā of ice. Then a cold rain friday afternoon followed by a little snow Saturday.
Sounds like the setup for an ice storm to me. Hope not, give me snow or rain, just not ice. Ice will take down power lines. Be days before they get them all fixed.

Blowing around 40-50 mph all night.
Sunny and cold. Temps in the low 20's. Hopefully the sun will help clear the streets and the driveways. Supposed to get a little warmer the next couple of days, but still in the 30's. It is Winter.
