We had thick ice for over two weeks with that one!! The day before the front came through it was 60°! I found my little feral kitten, mom and littermates were killed. I brought him in the house. Went the next morning for kitten supplies, it was 30° and sleeting. Quite a historic, deadly ice storm took place here starting that night!*Warning, micro-rant:
I watch the local weather forecasts every night. I figure since they 'live down here', they will be the most accurate...
But you can tell they spend all day sitting around saying: "but what if this also happens?"...
And then, "what if this also happens at the same time?"
..."and then this happens too!?"
Our 'snow day' is gonna be Tuesday...
First forecast: 3-5".
Next day: 5-7".

I remember our last 'historic snowfall' and I had to race out of the house to get a picture before it evaporated.
