My wife is a big Egg Nog fan. Me, not so much. She also made a batch of homemade Bailey's Irish Cream. Pretty easy to make. She uses bourbon, heavy whipping cream, cocoa (I think). Puts it all in a blender. Everybody who tries it loves it. If you want a more precise recipe I will post it.
We like to pour half a glass of egg nog and fill up the rest of the glass with Sprite or 7-up. I don't remember why we started that, but this has been going on for decades. I don't have either of those sodas in the house right now, so I've been drinking egg nog straight.

Any particular bourbon? Or substitutes

Whatever your hero liquor is. We used Jim Beam as much because we had it in the house, and it is reasonably priced. When you are adding all the sweet stuff, I don't think the liquor matters much. Bourbon is a little sweeter than Rye or Irish Whiskey, but they would all work. If I was going to use Irish Whiskey I would use Jamison.

That stuff is soooo good. We used tobtake several cans backpacking and stick them in a creek once we set camp up. Next morning we'd have them for breakfast. ICE COLD and yummy
That sounds good on a hot day. This time of year I leave mine outside on the porch. They make a great slushy drink.

OMG!! Sorry, sorry. Put two eggs in the blender with the other ingredients. My wife was telling me the recipe as she was walking out the door, so I was doing it from memory. :dunno:

I wonder if you can edit the first post with this recipe?

Good idea. Done. I think everybody that saw the original post saw the correction. Now the original will be right.

Whenever I was in Montreal I would get a Bloody Caesar; basically a Bloody Mary made with Clamato juice. I loved them. Always looked forward to it. I think I will pick up some Clamato juice and make them at home.
