Ha! I did it! Salmon patties, they were perfect, 1st time. I’ve tried to make them several times over the last couple of years. They were too soggy, to dry, fell apart, scorched, too much onion, not enough… never right. I even watched a few videos, felt silly about doing so, they are just salmon patties, make a patty and brown it! How hard can it be!

Tonight I didn’t look at my recipe, didn’t follow instructions, too tired. Just chopped some onion, sprinkled in some bread crumbs, made patties and browned them… perfect. they are exactly what I’ve failed to do for a couple years.

By the way, I sometimes over think things.

Husband had a turkey burger, no bun. His diet. The kids and I had chicken fried steak and gravy. Along with veggies and steak fries for all of us.
Had to laugh at the cubed steak price. It's been in the freezer for 14 months. I did buy it on sale, but bought four good sized cube steaks for $1.50 each. Don't think I can find that now.

Sausage, onions, mushroom, garlic with black beans & red beans in a pan with a cup of water.
Brown sausage, add onions & mushrooms, then beans & simmer until hot, add garlic slices.

Italian Sausage and Bell Pepper Risotto tonight

Never heard of that. Care to give some details?

It's kinda a beef stew. Tender shredded beef with onion, garlic, bell peppers, tomatoes, cumin, a very small amount of cayenne pepper in a not quite gravy sauce wrapped in a flour tortilla. Some people add jalapenos but I don't like spicy.. 🥵🔥

Have also made it with pork, and served over rice!
