gas price 9-23-2021.jpg

In the UK (England) it is 135.9 Pence per liter which is $7.154 per gallon US....
Kind of makes the $3.09 I saw posted this morning look like a deal......
UK is not a good place to be buying gasoline today:
https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/uk-gas-stations-are-running-dry-english-cities-retailers-association-says-2021-09-27/
Pumps across British cities were either closed or had signs saying fuel was unavailable on Monday, Reuters reporters said, with some limiting the amount of fuel each customer could buy.

The Petrol Retailers Association (PRA), which represents independent fuel retailers accounting for 65% of all the 8,380 UK forecourts, said members had reported that 50% to 90% of pumps were dry in some areas.
Price = unavailable.

I don't know the invoice hasn't come yet, but regular is 1.35 a litre at the pumps, you do the math,
I remember my Dad saying that we went to the metric system because people just won't pay a dollar a gallon for gas.

I paid $3:15 couple of nights ago.

I didn't know where else to put this... I found it a couple days ago but couldn't find an article about it. All I found were a couple short sentences on more than one eu news service. (move if necessary)

Seems to me if a fuel crises is so bad in uk the price jumps 40% on rumors things are pretty serious. Serious enough to affect us?

I did find where the price jumped 40% but that it also dropped down by 30% before the day was over.

But get this... Mean ole nasty Putin went on tv, made some reassuring comments and everybody felt better. So much better that the price of fuel drops 30%? Those people are hosed and winter isn't even here...

What does this mean for us?

Took my wife to the doctors office on Thursday, (she doesn't get out much) and as we were driving there I heard her say, "Gas is over $4s a gallon? How, can that be?"

I remember in my youth selling it for less than 50 cents, $10 could fill up just about any car....
