What are your dreams? What did you do last night?

Most of my dreams are random, meaningless dreams that I forget as soon as I wake up. But I had a weird dream two nights ago about Donald Trump and I remembered it vividly afterwards because I actually don't like the man. Anyway, in the dream he sat down and joined me for dinner at a fancy restaurant and was plying me with all sorts of uncommon and seductive expensive morsels and delectables that I don't actually like and never have.

Except for a dessert of fresh raspberries in gelatin topping a thick layer of sweet whipped cream cheese on sponge cake, which I really do like, as well as lots of expensive French St. Germaine elderflower liqueur which I love as an indulgent treat from time to time. LOL.

He was sitting across the table from me and repeatedly reaching across the table and putting more foods on my plate and pouring more liqueur and every time he did that the table cloth started burning and would scorch the table. I got fed up with repeatedly having to dump water from my water glass onto the table cloth to put out the fires so I got up from the burning table and left the restaurant and left him sitting there. Then I woke up.

Binky: You have to focus on your personal life as you learn to translate your dreams.
You or the universe is trying to tell you something.

The people and odd events in it are usually just hooks so you can remember the dream. Once you translate one dream it becomes easier each time thereafter.

My teacher learned from Betty Bethards, who wrote The Dream Book.
It is helpful for the first 6 months then you won't need it anymore. $15

Your keys:

Burn: Purification, cleaning.

Fire: Kundalini or life-force within, housed in fire, Holy Spirit,
purification and cleansing of all belief systems so that you may
open to a higher knowledge.

Table = Daily Activities, whether working, playing or eating.
To put off a decision, as to table a motion. Negotiation.

Water = Emotional energy. Whether clean, murky, choppy, or clear shows
emotional state.

My translation: You re currently going thru a new world reality / awakening that will change your daily life. You need not fear it. You are, and will, traverse this journey well.

Best of luck to you on your journey.

Thank you for your response. I did think about it for two days and I put my own translation onto it:

The whole dream was full of symbolism. I don't like that man in reality let alone like him invading my dreams. I was minding my own business when he approached and joined me, uninvited, at my table and invaded my space. He wanted something from me that I didn't want to give and tried to entice and bribe me by bringing rich and immoderate luxury things to the table, things that I don't put any value on and have no interest in (except for the 2 rich dessert items which are actually not at all healthy for me in excess and which I can already order or provide for my own self any time the whim takes me).

I think I was the one who was setting the table cloth on fire each time he tried to pile something else that I didn't want onto my plate. My way of burning, purifying and eliminating what I didn't want on my table. By using my drinking water to put out the fires I was trying to protect the innocent table from burning, and coincidentally each time giving the man another chance to present things that might be more acceptable to lay on my table that might advance the causes of both of us and not just him alone. But he didn't, couldn't and so finally I left the table cloth and the table burning, turned my back on him and walked away. It felt like the right thing to do.

I guess there could be other ways of looking at it too. But under the political circumstances and threats currently happening in my country I think the above interpretation makes the most sense to me. It's sort of symbolic of two countries that are now sadly very much at odds with each other and may have a hard time coming to uneasy amends.
