Interesting! I have Malabar red stem spinach in my garden. It's actually not a true spinach though. It's used in stir fries. I didn't care for the taste.

I put 3 bush cucumbers in my hydroponics system.
I've been after this variety for a little while so I'm pleased that out of 3 seeds planted in coir filled net pots I got 3 plants.

I've had about 25 comfrey seedlings germinate. They'll be planted against a concrete path. It's part of my plan to make fermented
weed tea to use as a nutrient for my hydroponics system. I have an abundance of ribwort ( narrow leaf plantain) and borage (related to comfrey)
to add to the barrels. I've got to make some root cuttings of some mature comfrey plants and put them under my citrus trees to act as a living mulch
layer.

I finally found a supplier who sold Chinese Motherwort seeds. I was chasing the wide leaf variety. From everything I've read it's very easy to grow
and has awesome sedative qualities very similar to valerian. It also a very good heart tonic.

I'll start seeds in mid January under grow lights set them in greenhouse first week of March. May just go containers this time. May do the hydros too not sure yet.

Got a volunteer tomato plant left over from summer about 8 inches tall in a flower pot right now.
Got a bowl flower pot full of spicy mix of lettuces sitting on top of chest freezer, it's also left over from summer.
It's about done for the year, should be done in January.

TankG I think you'll like hydro growing. Be sure and put some epsom salts into that weed nutrient mixture.

I brought more seeds yesterday after I went through my seed tote.

More sugar snap pea seeds, Motherwort and Yarrow.

I read the very good thread on Yarrow here on this site and when I went through my seeds I realised
I didn't have any.
