Now consider what is owed at this point. I suspect most have looked at this thread question from a "Post" SHTF assumption.

What is owed pre-SHTF. What is owed currently (today).

I know there are a very few with knowledge reference Prepping & Survival (on this forum) who hold those cards close to their chest.
I have been saying it for years, skills and practice, just cause you saw a youtube about it doesn't mean you can do it in a pinch.

Or fast beans....cooked beans that have then been dehydrated. Then they are shelf stable and just add water.
now that is interesting, and sounds like a fair bit of work. I find thinking far enough ahead to cook beans is a big enough challenge, although just an extra hour of simmer time seems to make up for overnight soaking.

What is this "owed" concept anyway? Charity begins at home, gold and silver will be pointless if there are no goods to purchase with them, but wisdom? the guy who can build water filters, liquor stills, repair vehicles or guns, reload or do even the smallest amount of medical work will be valuable friends to have in your camp.
