Just finished this baby quilt. Its for a friend of one of my dd's. Her shower is Saturday and true to my normal I waited till the week its due to find the backing and quilt it lol. Now to get busy on my new expected grandson's quilt. I need to find the fabric I want to use for it first though. All the fabric I have and nothing is what I want for this one....oh and NOT showing the stash lol!

Absolutely gorgeous!! Please update with pictures on your grand baby's quilt!!

When I hand quilt, I try to do a block a day. I had a quilt that had 56 blocks, so 56 days to hand quilt that.
I like that! I was doing pretty well until the fire and subsequent move. I’m hoping once we are completely out of the other place (by next Friday) I will be able to get back to it. Life threw us a curve ball but we trod on.

I've been doing a lot of cross stitch quilts lately. This is one I was working on last year but I still have to do two side panels. These pictures show the center panel from top to bottom. I set it aside to start working on quilts for my 4 stepkids and need to finish them by Thanksgiving. The one I'm working on now is one I found on Ebay. It's a tulip wreath that had been started by someone else and all the thread came with it so it was a bargain. I love the yellow.

Those are beautiful!

I'm calling 2025 my Year of the Big Projects and I've set aside all my UFOs to focus on two projects this year. The cross stitch quilts for my kids and some big star quilts for all the grandkids. These will be one block quilts that will measure about 72" square with a pillowcase to match each one. I'm going to tie them instead of quilting them. They'll be good to keep on the couch for chilly evenings or throw in the backseat of the car for just in case. Big enough to toss over the bed if you need a little extra warmth on some of these arctic nights we've been having.

All of mine will be one big star made in two colors like this one and each of the 16 HSTs will finish at 18". I need to make at least 25 of these so I'll be using up a lotta stash. Here are a few other patterns that look good in one block quilts.
