Even if guns were banned I would still carry one. You'd be an idiot not to. Earlier this year I was forced to use my gun as a deterrent in a potentially dangerous situation. I could have been in a lot of trouble if I didn't have my gun.

I live by the mindset of kill them with superior firepower. Not in the literal sense. But figuratively by capitalizing on their own ignorance.

Pepper spray is a MUST to carry on your person at all times. Although I conceal and carry at all times, I also carry pepper spray. I have only had to use it once, but it something you should always have on you.

I think it's a good alternative for when the situation doesn't warrant deadly force. If someone was putting a woman's life in danger, I would hope to god she would blow his head off with a handgun. If she feels threatened but isn't sure if the situation requires deadly force, it's nice that she can use pepper spray.

I have been pepper sprayed on two separate occasions, one of which was a prank when I was in high school.

It is not as good of a deterrent as being shot, but it is certainly temporarily effective.

There's a reason mass shootings happen in places that prohibit carrying a gun.

You folks that are pro-banning just don't seem to realize that when guns are outlawed, only the outlaws will have them. It's not a difficult concept to grasp, but one that seems to be unfathomable for some reason.....

I agree that I don't want to use deadly force, ever. I will always do my best to go around trouble. The best way to advoid violence is to not be there. Unfortunately, we live in a world where there are people who don't feel the same way. That is why I own and am prepared to guns. I think it's naive to believe you will never be in a situation where you might need one.

Tom don't get a gun until you've had serious training. After that training you will be able to make a positive selection for your lifestyle. Just like you don't jump into a chess tournament, please get some good training and read a couple books first..
