The last thing I want to do is spend time hauling water to my place from a nearby lake, river, spring, etc. I challenge anyone who thinks hauling water is an option to lug a full 5-gallon jerry can a 1/4-mile. Then, think about doing that everyday.
Pretty sure he's capable of making his own doom! He really seemed prepared to do so!!
That's why they invented wheels. Work smarter. Not harder.

Or carry 2 cans, fill each half way and carry back. It's still 20 pounds per arm but a lot easier on the body than 40 pounds on one arm.So, toss the can in your wheelbarrow and tell me how much fun it is.
Myself, I'd grab that jeep in your avatar and go get 100 gallons at a time.
Did shopping at two box stores yesterday. I realize not many people are real peppers but there are some folks out there that would be assets to a situation where there was water, food, shelter and defense available for them to utilize if they were accepted into the group.
Anyway as we were cruising the aisles stacking our cart with something besides TV dinners I noticed some of the other shoppers.....carts 1/4 full with sugar treats, energy drinks, pre made food trays etc etc. This was in a store that has some nice bulk food and bulk grains and such in dispensers to fill your bags with.
I also check out how people are dressed and their footgear.. flip flops and shorts is one thing in summer but not in the rocky mountains of montana where the temps have barely got up to freezing for the past month and there is snow on the ground. And a lot of folks have to drive a ways to get to this store...
Every once in a while we see a person or a young family shopping and they are reasonably dressed, have their heavy coats stacked in their shopping carts and everyone is wearing decent shoes or boots.. The kids are respectful and attentive and the parents respectful to each other and their children. Those are the people I would like to help out and band together with if things do truly go badly in our area.
