If yes, the cat looks a lot like a Maine Coon, so we'll go with that...though her mother was a Siamese. All the babies looked different, not one looked Siamese.
The doge (soft g sound) had a Blue Heeler mother. The father...this litter was also mixed. Some of them looked like this and some of them looked like Border Collies. Some were all black. Our pick was one of the smaller ones.

If you weren't talking to me that's fine too. ;D

Edited to add: We say the dog is a Kelpie, which is an old shepherding breed started in Scotland and found largely in Australia. Not recognized by the AKC, the Kelpie dog/people don't want to be in the AKC (LOL)!

I was sad when the Border Collie got put into the AKC. That’s when they start breeding for conformation and leave out the working ability.

Have two dogs........One is a border collie-fiest mix.....very smart dog that is full of energy.........but like her owner getting gray, old and slow......... the second one is a Jack russell-border collie mix and is all jack russell mentality does what it wants when it wants............lol

My wife and I have 2 apple head chihuahuas: one is a female 7 yrs. old named Dolly and a male 3 yrs. old name Junebug. They are kind and loving animals. Dolly is my favorite and she sleeps with me at night. Junebug usually sleeps under my bed because if he is on my bed, he sleeps on his back and snores. I mean snores!!! We had a cat we called Grandma. She is over 20 yrs. old and on her last legs. Yesterday my wife brought her into the house and put her on her bed. We have separate bedrooms. Well Grandma could hardly crawl however my wife found she was missing and now can't find her. We have looked all over the house and can't find her. I hope she didn't crawl into a cubby hole and die. I wanted to shoot her with my .22 pistol and Judi said do what you have to do. Don't let her suffer. I didn't have the gall to shoot Grandma cuz it would hurt me too much. Grandma used to live behind our house with an old man. Well he had cancer and they moved him out without taking her so she strayed and stayed here for 9 years. She was always with me in my shop and soon I became attached. I hate to see an animal suffer but I was going to take her to a vet today but Judi yesterday brought her in. I love animals but I really hate to see them suffer. They are worse than kids. All they ask for is your love and they remain devoted and always glad to see you when you come home.

@Tommycourt the animals are part of our family too and dare I say like children to us.

I once had a very hard decision to make as when I was in a country town all the dogs went berserk on the same day and killed every chicken in the town (environmental ??) including one of my dogs but not the other. Knowing that we lived right next to other farms with cattle and other animals I could not risk it and asked the next door neighbour if he had a gun and could he shoot him which he did along with his dog also the same day. I found it so devastating and was upset for weeks and so did the other dog owners in the area.

The cat we have now we found in our back yard 7 months ago undernourished and obviously dumped by somebody but she is so loving and has now gained almost a quarter of her original body weight from when we found her. The vets are very pleased with her condition now which brings me to the point of what sort of person could dump an animal and leave it to die without food or water ?.

I don't know if there is a heaven or hell but if there is, people who dump off animals need to go to the place that is a lot hotter than my Arizona desert.

We have a golden retriever puppy, almost 2 yrs old, she was given to me as a gift from some friends after I had to put my 2 old warhorses down. We had covered a million miles at BOL and learned together. It was tough saying good bye. My new little girl picked right up on grouse hunting, next will be ducks. I had a pet turkey but he passed away this year after 6 years, he was like a pet dog to us. I'm a terrible farmer.

When I first joined this forum I was living in the country in a house. Now I have moved to an apartment in the nearby city. I brought my house rabbit, "Rabbit" with me and he surprised me how well he adjusted to our move. He had never been on carpet before and I had read online how other people's rabbits destroyed the carpeting in their homes. Not him. He loves it and will not go near the tiled floors of the kitchen or bathroom. I keep his cage open so he can come and go as he pleases. My neighbors all think it is amazing that I have a pet rabbit who runs free. But he is a good boy.

We just picked up Brownie,he's a pit bull mix. He's replacing our Mountain Cur who wouldn't quit barking and tried to keep chasing our ducks. Hopefully he does better.

Thank you. To me it was just an animal to care for but since it's condition made the wife cry I was sad for the wife.

We are trying to save my La Mancha buck. He was a bottle baby and almost a pet. He got over the pneumonia but is now horribly anemic. Fecal test was neg and the vet is stumped. The only thing she can think of is that his system is to run down after 2 months of pneumonia and 6 different antibiotics.
