I did Aldi's yesterday, and they were wiped out of their bread, vegetables, and meat, but locals knew a storm was coming in overnight, so I was not surprised at all. I was not that particular about what I was getting, can make do with whatever fresh stuff was left. No one seemed interested in the yellow squash, brussel sprouts, or green beans.
I got dragged to Costco today
.
I guess this post is a <not> shortage post.
Everything was in abundance, even rotisserie chicken, TP, fresh fruits and veggies.
The fresh meat section didn't have a single bare spot in it, all 50 feet of it.
Want bottled water? Their
in-store aisle was 2 pallets wide (8'), 50' long, and 6' high.
No limits on
anything.
I attribute this to my fellow citizens having to press the 'panic-button' so many times over the years past, that their button is worn out
. Everybody stocks supplies here, always have, and they only have to top-off, no matter how hard you push the button.
Of course, they found a button to push on me: Costco only takes VISA.
Fortunately I am fluent in 6 different languages of CC and I love to say:
"Here, take this and stick it!!!"
Sorry for the ramble, but we got everything we went after, (even rotisserie chicken, which I insisted on
). No shortages for us hardheads.
