What's everybody doing today?

Yep, it's been pretty surreal around here. No one wants to go into the one bedroom. I've been in it already, but will probably throw out the bedding, and there's still blood on the floor to deal with. I'll wait till all the company is gone. So the wife has arrived, and all is good. Just have the daughter and the boyfriend here. Favorite cousin, her daughter, one of the sons and his wife surprised us with a visit to see how we all are. Good to see her, and we'll visit their farm on Friday. Still irritated about youngest daughter, but she really dislikes it here, and now doubly so. Sorry she saw what she saw. Life and death are rough. Husband is coming around, had a rough time with it last night, today is better. Pies are done, first level of jello, stuffing, green bean casserole....favorite cousin's daughter brought over a bunch of her famous bread rolls that will be so yummy tomorrow night.

You could get creative n leave little prizes , nothing weird but like a peanut butter cup or a small note like insert cleaning lady's name .."Sarah the dustslyyer! " 5 points for finding little notes spread about. At so many points they get a free coffee gift cert..make a little scoreboard with prizes..
They'll be excited to clean up the Fluffly stuff..and it sows joy in drudgery..

It's not always the same people but it is usually the same supervisor. I do lots of stuff for them and always put out bottled water and usually some kind of snack. Today's it was pumpkin muffins. And from what they tell me, I am the only person in the entire complex that does. In fact I am one of the only people who is even home when they come.

At 1pm (1300hrs) it is dark, dark high overcast 20/10F predicted through most of next week.. No snow predicted until a week from this Friday, and this ..Black Friday.. predicted to be 5/0F.. NOT going out for that.

Will bake and debone the turkey today, so tomorrow will be easier to make green bean casserole, and mashed potatoes.. Have whole cranberry sauce and croissants to make turkey sandwiches with.. Maybe not the most traditional, but easier on me..

Coffee and banana for breakfast, so looking forward to turkey sandwich later today..

Today I made some more rolls. The ones yesterday turned out like hockey pucks so we’re feeding them to the k9. Betty Crocker doesn’t know what she’s talking about. The ones I made today look good. I had to keep Hubby from them. He said if I tear them all apart, nobody would notice
Also made a batch of soap since I am down to a sliver. Pretty messed up: I had to wash the soap making stuff, make the soap then wash it again- all to make something to wash with
Did my winter soap scented with pine, bergamot and wintergreen so it smells wintery and clean.
Beginning a new pair of socks so have the toes done.

Since last Saturday *day I went to see Dr*
I just start to be a bit more ...ok
But still coughing

I go grocery for my fur family and a bit for myself too

Did not get antibiotics yet ... dont really want to get it!
I will have some Ricola Mountain herbs cough drops with me ..so I wont cough
And will stay away from people the more I can

Tonight a very warm bath/Epsom salt ..after Vicks to rub my chest
A spoon of RX codeine syrup by my Dr before bed and I will sleep well

I almost NEVER have a cold ...I hate it so much

Me and the grandson drove down south this morning. Got haircuts for both of us. We both had hair down to the tops of our ears, we looked like hippys. Then went to Home Depot and picked up some stuff there, then to the sporting goods store. After that we stopped at the grocery store to pick up stuff for Thanksgiving dinner. Got home after dark.

Rub the vicks on the bottoms of your feet also. Then put socks on.

The turkey for tomorrow is baked.. Will just warm it up tomorrow.. Makes it easier to handle other dishes like green bean casserole, sweet potatoes with butter and maple syrup.. And less distractions to be able to watch most of the Thanks Giving day parade..

So..... About a half hour or less after my last post it started to snow.. Cold enough to only get a skiff on parking lots and sidewalks.. Road shoulders were wet, but driving lanes dry.. At 9pm news the 10 day forecast is gloomy, 20-15/10-5F for temps..

Enjoying coffee by the fire, waiting for daylight so I can feed Buddy. Then get the turkey cooking and make a quick breakfast!! We will eat our main turkey dinner about 1:30-2 pm so we can have either sandwiches or pick on cold turkey and eat pie tonight!!

On here for a few minutes checking the weather, it's raining, meaning more animal care today since they were all in the barn last night, but son is going to help so I can cook. Already made breakfast for daughter and granddaughter, grits and eggs which they like.

There is no big family gathering for Thanksgiving. It's usually just Dad and I and I usually work. It's only 4 hours but it pads the paycheck nicely. Usually I set up a small turkey and he cooks it. This year we planned on doing the same but the other night he suggested we have Thanksgiving on Saturday so it'd be easier for me to cook. Guess he's not up to putting a turkey in the oven. So my Thanksgiving dinner is going to be fried flounder and some sort of vegetable.

Today! I'm having a Thanksgiving outing with my family. I am glad to have my daughter from Washington, DC. We will catch up on what is going on in her life. We will see her son Jay for the first time. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope every one's day is awesome. I'll be cooking soon enough, but we don't eat till around four, so the turkey goes in around 11:30.
Slept in till 7, was soo tired, and still doing the infusions at 2:30 am, so I feel lots better. So now animal chores, getting husband ready for the day, then the rest of the cooking. I think daughter and boyfriend are taking a walking tour around the property, maybe taking the Ranger out, too. Little granddaughter and daughter are planning on watching Nacho Libre for the millionth time time.

Got up and went straight the fitness center. There is usually 10-15+ people there, but this morning it was me and two other people. Seems like today it should have been 30-40 people since I am sure most of us will over eat. It was nice to workout in a mostly empty space though. Anyway then I went back up for a shower and some java while everyone else continues to sleep. I will start cooking here before too long.

I got an early start. I have already been to IHOP to get breakfast (that is my wife's favorite). We will eat breakfast and watch the Macy's Parade. I will probably wrap Christmas presents until a Football game comes on. Don't worry Pearl, I have already done KP.

Wife will get dinner later this afternoon from a restaurant we like. We had dinner with the family yesterday, which went better than usual. Today should be quiet.
