Trip to the dentist today. I'd rather put up ten acres of small bales. But surprisingly she said the filling needs to be replaced but the tooth is healthy otherwise, no rot in the roots and no need to get it yanked. So I'm supposed to irrigate it with H2O2 until the gum is less angry and make an appt for the filling.
Stopped for a few groceries on the way back, plan to make some potato soup tomorrow.
Warming up some, 12 F tonight, last night at this time it was -10 F. Cold weather makes for a beautiful sky, I could see five planets last night during night walkies. Seemed like Orion was right here in my back yard. Stood there staring til the dog finished her business and decided to take off after the deer in the fence row and about took the lead out of my hand.
Daughter went back home, place is lonely without her. But I think Friday or Saturday I'll be over at her house helping with some of her projects. Glad she lives close enough that we can help each other.
Spending way too much time - and money - in the seed and plant catalogs.

Found a spot for my tiftblue blueberry.
Watched part of the Razorback game...first time since Dad's passing. They won. I can't make myself watch the whole game but maybe just a little at a time and I'll get there.
Watched a master gardener presentation on herb gardens.
Logged education hours.
Planning to find information on a teaching garden one county over. Might be worth the drive.
Looked up information on Moss Mountain Farm.

You're a master gardener? 😍

Batting down the hatches here in the face of the biggest storm we've ever been warned about tonight, and wondering what I've forgotten. Husband has a dentist appointment today so I'm going to town with him in case something occurs to me. All public services / schools etc will be closed from tonight, and no travel allowed unless you are a necessary worker. Organising a few low cook one bowl meals and have everything tied down that I can, but I'll be surprised if the poly tunnel makes it.

woke up early, fed the livingroom stove, got the kitchen one started, having coffee
I feel stressed, more than usual. Got a text from one of the neighbors yesterday late , they have no water, wondering if we do. I think we all need to figure out why there is no water, and no water pressure. It can't be our drippy hydrant
Our utility situation sometimes really just sucks.

today going to take care of the animals, cook and eat early and then drive goat to town and pick up supplies there at the farm store, plus groceries. We are going to take 2 vehicles since the crate for the goat , and the feed bags will take up the truck space. We also need room for the propane tanks and groceries. Plus I really need to make sure the Travers still runs after sitting for almost a month
I hope it starts
I don't know when there will be time to deal with the water situation.

I looked up your weather, wow, that's a hurricane!!! Hope you stay safe, didn't know they had those in Ireland

Another early riser here. Already got a few thongs done around the house, dog is outside playing in the snow and I've exercised my ability to find the silver lining.... seeing a plus that I have more time for home improvements, rather than getting tools in order and ready for a job that would have been a pain at times.

Today I found out I didn't get the job I applied for, tested for and was even interviewed. Was kinda bummed, but it wasn't the best job for cruising thru the next few years until retirement. Would have been kind of rough at times. I can make the seasonal machine operator job I have work for me, except the pay and benefits suck. I'll keep looking, and apply for more suitable jobs.
Everything happens for a reason! It wasn't the right job, or the right time! The right one will come along!!😉

Husband has his infectious disease check up around noon, and I have my rheumatologist shots appt around the same time. They're across the road from each other, so I'll leave him in the wheelchair at his, and go to mine and come back for him. He is in a small office and they know him well, so he should be fine in the waiting room.
But first, coffee, fire is going, little granddaughter is getting ready for school and bus should be here in 20 min. Then animal chores.

Winding down after a busy night shift went into town earlier today hoping to have the single din multi media player installed

However just as Jordan was about to free up a space for installation the wiring he was finishing up on another car turned into a much bigger job than he anticipated with extra issues cropping up so im booked in for lunch Friday

Yeah. I went through the University of Arkansas program and I volunteer with a local community project. It pretty much just means that I'm willing to learn. I've been doing it a few years so I have to get 20 work hours in with our project and 20 hours of education.
Awesome, I'm a MG in my state but won't be seeking reappointment this year. Just Too many other things I'm trying to accomplish. I notice that most MGs here are older or retired...certainly not raising small kids.
