I told him *Nooooo!!!!!.....too early...take another 3-4 days to get really better!!!!
He said .. *Ok. I think you are right !!!*
I did answer back : * Of course I am right!!! *๐Ÿ˜‚

PS do you like Josephine Baker? She sings in both French and English.

@Neb was thinking about the princess retiring ๐Ÿ˜Š. If you havenโ€™t yet watched it, I think (in all my minuscule wisdom) you should get the Princess Bride and make her favorite meal to celebrate. I know a while back you said you hadnโ€™t seen it. I really think you would both enjoy it. ๐Ÿ’–
Ben...you NEVER saw Princess Bride????
Oh my gosh.

The Princess Bride is a great movie! Lots of fun, and even guys like it because there are pirates and sword fights and rodents of unusual size.
Fought with the snowblower yesterday and managed to get the drive cleared from the garage to the road; wasn't able to clear down to the shed but maybe tomorrow. For some reason the person delivering my package today parked on the road and walked in with it, even though the drive is cleared and also well marked with reflectors. Seemed strange.
The package was the replacement carb for the blower, I've been watching youtube videos and I think I can figure out how to change it out. I'll also change the oil and check over a few other things and then hope it magically starts running right.
Warmer today, got up to 25 and I ran errands without a jacket.
Made progress cleaning up the utility room in the basement, there's an old workbench down there that I'm going to use as my space to start some seeds. Should be able to sow a few flats tomorrow.

Funny, when I lived in Buffalo ny a buddy gave me a snow blower, in november, too cold to work on it. He couldnโ€™t get it to run but knew I could. I figured out the problems and got it to run, sort ofโ€ฆ ๐Ÿคฃ

The carb had problems but to make matters worse someone had broken two of the mounting bolts. It couldnโ€™t be tightened securely. This made for bad gasket/air leaks around the carb. The carb was facing the operator (me). I got it to run but if the wind got to the carb itโ€™d die.

The wind always came across a big open field up my driveway, to my house. So, the rest of the winter I could drive the blower into the wind but couldnโ€™t turn it around. Iโ€™d drive it down the driveway then have to walk backwards and pull the blower back to the garage door then drive to the street again. (40ft)

Hey, it was a free snowblower!!!! ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿคฃ beat shoveling...

Even funnierโ€ฆ that spring I pulled to the end of my drive and put a โ€œfreeโ€ sign on it. I intended to tell who ever wanted it how to make it run. At some point that morning I went to the store. When I got back the blower was gone!!! I thought "oh well, theyโ€™ll figure it out, or use it as a boat anchor"!!!

Hopefully going back to bed for a little bit! I didn't have to get up to feed the fire ( but I did since I was up), Bear had to go out! He's having a belly issue!๐Ÿ™ So we are in the den on the couch! Back to work today!! Hubby and I both have a busy weekend and week ahead! At least the weather is warming up!

Rough night. My friend who has dementia (just diagnosed) called me at 2:30 am asking for help with her potty chair - in the hospital. I called them and hopefully, someone helped her. I was awake for quite a while after.

This morning, I'm going with the Church ladies to hear a speaker about 25 miles away. That's it for the day. Should be home by 4 pm.

Slept in until 5 this morning. Yesterday's high temp was 28 degs, this morning was only 24. Supposed to snow tonight and for the next few days, maybe a foot or so. I got the snowblower repaired yesterday, temporally. I'll make a couple passes with it later this morning.

Dementia is rough. My sil has a slew of health issues, she had brain surgery last year, is on so many meds she hallucinates. She was in the hospital last week calling the police telling them that the hospital was trying to kill her. She was frantic. Has since been moved to a nursing home, but in isolation because she caught RSV from the hospital. The hospital will kill you, for sure.

it was 4 degrees this morning but has since warmed up to about 20 . No lambs, I guess they were holding them in during the coldest weather lOl
Animals taken care of for now. All buckets frozen solid , water at barn frozen solid, laundry stuff frozen solid and son needs laundry done. We are going to have to fill washing machine up like we used to by hand, and then skip the rinse cycle . It does get rinsed of course, but on the wash cycle. There is another typical stupid government interference....washing machines with locks on them! Most of them have it. I had to go by an expensive commercial one a few years ago to avoid it.
Going to start cooking soon.
Yesterday was granddaughters 2nd birthday and she actually had both of her parents there, so I am happy for that. Daughter told me they were going to a fondue place for dinner. Strange choice for a 2 year old but whatever....lol, we took them to Chuck E cheese or Mdconalds playground for their birthdays at that age

We're warmed up to 20 degrees, too, at the moment, and it'll get above freezing this afternoon! Am more than ready to see some thaw out around here. Wind is rough though this morning. Dog ate two packages left on the porch, so I've been busy looking for parts in the snow. Argg.

I just pay the interest and penalty if need be and pay at the end. I don't want to give it to them any sooner than I have too.
For many years I'd get fined for not paying my taxes quarterly, even though I was having maximum withholdings throughout the year. I thought it was BS and wouldn't pay quarterly, so I always sent my payment in on April 15th.

We traded a neighbor 2 bottles of wild honey Jake and I harvested for 3 bottles of homemade syrup and a bag of fresh brats he made.

This was how I felt when I got up this morning

Took dad for his first non-medical outing. Went to pick up some firewood and food shopping. We even took his truck. Just brought him to the basement so he can gather some train paraphernalia to work on at the dining room table.

Radiation now starts next Thursday and I had already made arrangements for coverage at work for Monday (the original start date) so Iโ€™ve got a surprise day off. Three day weekend!!!

When the granddaughters sleep over I am out numbered 3 to 1. Yes I have watched The Princess Bride multiple times.

As to her favorite meal...

I will have to ask her. If I had to guess now I would go with slow roasted beef, Brussels sprouts and cheese. Lots of cheese.

I asked.

Steak, onion casserole, baked potato, and salad. Our normal Saturday night meal.
