Feel like I accomplished something already… got the bolts, nuts and washers needed for the cultivators ordered from an industrial hardware supplier. Grumble… I only need 40 bolts but washers and nuts only come in pkgs of 100. Still, the total price was far better than local retail so an extra $15 for washers and nuts isn’t so bad. If I lose one I have plenty of spares! And I don’t have to drive 80miles… they will arrive tomorrow.

Need to call my cousin, see if he can drop by and help me swap the tractor tires around this week, no rush. Got a small painting project I need to finish today also.

Hubby and I are so romantic 💘 The toilet seat in the bathroom he usually uses was broken and spurred “special words” so I bought him a new one yesterday. I had said I could use the push mower for a while (rider was gonzo). So he mowed the back lawn with it (before he would let me). Yesterday he ordered a zero turn.
Ah sweet love 😍😂

Sounds similar to what happened to me this weekend.

I was driving in the dark to go let a dog out. There was something in the road that I didn't see until I couldn't avoid it. It was like a metal speed bump. I ended up with a dented alloy rim. It seemed okay until I was almost home and all of a sudden it wasn't. The tires on this car are strange and this is the second time I've had a flat on this car that I didn't realize until the tire was ruined. These tires have a small reveal when they are on. I've had a few flat tires in my life where I was aware of it before they were destroyed.

It was dark and I didn't want to change it in the dark. I needed to go feed and let the dog out in the morning. I got up early, loosened the lug nuts, jacked the car up, and then removed the lug nuts. The tire was like it was frozen to the hub. I kicked and kicked it and could not loosen it. This is the first time I have had this happen. I finally put the lug nuts back on, finger tightened them, and drove to a service station about a mile away to get help. Because the lug nuts were not tightened by the wrench, and the tire was so ripped up, it loosened up and the wheel broke free so it was ready to be removed. Guy took the wheel off and put on the spare.

I took wheel to the tire shop and they said they would see if a new tire would hold air and put the wheel on the back. After more driving the tire is still working.

I have never liked driving in the dark. I wonder how many other people ended up with damage because of that metal speed bump looking thing? It was gone the next morning. Mechanic told me he has had a few incidents with stuff in the road that caused damage to his vehicles.
I had a tire delaminate when I was driving out of town. It was when I still had the expedition. Found out the jack had been stolen when it was in the shop for something. Called roadside assistance and it took 3 people (including myself) to get the lug nuts off and then the tire was stuck on with dried mud. A previous time when I limped home on a flat tire (had groceries that needed to go in freezer and fridge) I jacked the SUV up myself and tried to get the tire off. I was able to get the lug nuts off but the tire itself was stuck and the jack fell. I ended up calling a local tire place and explaining the situation. Owner sent one of his guys out to get the tire off. He had to mule-kick that sucker repeatedly to get it off. He then put the spare on, took the tire with him and said he'd meet me at the tire shop and would see if it could be fixed and if not I could get either a used or a new tire and they'd have it on the rim for me. Didn't charge for coming out and doing that either. They are good people. Another time I tried to take lug nuts off a flat tire my tire iron broke. The part that grabs the lug nut split open. I now will call roadside assistance for a flat. I know my limitations and my insurance covers it.
I slept 13 hours, after I just slept ten hours, after I just slept eight hours.
I'm the most useless human being alive.
The most useless human being alive is my best friend's first ex. The one we call Jabba the ****. Don't feel bad. I've had days and even weeks like that. I struggle to stay awake for more than 2hrs at a time. Sometimes 1hr. When the fatigue hits it can be bad. Sometimes you just need to rest. But I feel ya. I've slept for 48hrs straight before.
Got two units of blood, took about 6 hours. I have an intestinal bleed and they can't operate. I am losing the battle.
Sending you big hugs. I hope they can do something to stop the bleeding.

yesterday I ended up going to the store to get some stuff on Mom's list. Going to be having more chicken soup soon. Its a collaborative effort. I cut up the chicken. My brother then puts it in the pressure cooker with broth, veggies, and seasoning, and then he turns it on. Need to do that today.

Made mashed potatoes with shredded rotisserie chicken and some mushroom gravy (out of a can-- I used golden mushroom soup as the gravy since the mushroom gravy wasn't in stock).

Fed Rupert a packet of Delectables Bisque. I have to hold the bowl up for him and rotate it so he can eat it more easily since he's so uncoordinated he has trouble putting his face in the bowl and eating. He has a permanent head tilt and has trouble aiming his face at stuff. He was extremely happy.

I'm going to try to motivate myself to clean litterboxes today.

Another day of potting up elderberry clones.

Makes me want to sing
Dead ant
Dead ant
Dead ant, dead ant, dead ant dead ant, dead ant 🎶
That is my grow lights. My cell phone likes the red spectrum.

How about with the red grow off?

Your hint reminded me of a visit by the forest agent we invited to inspect the trees in our wood lot. A repeated theme was...

Dead elm
Dead elm

Another time I tried to take lug nuts off a flat tire my tire iron broke.
Was it a J shaped tire iron? My first vehicle had a J tire iron and I couldn't get lug nuts off for love or money with that sucker. ASAP I bought myself a 4 way tire iron and I spray paint the end that works for that car. It has been suggested here to get a special tool that is similar to a drill like they use in tire shops. I am at a loss right now for what the name of it is. I looked for one and saw that they are around $200, and I haven't invested in one yet.

A Dewalt 20V impact driver?

Will run about $200 for the bare tool no batteries or the required socket.

I've been working on homework (lots of it) and I went grocery shopping, ran a couple more errands, spent some time putting stuff around the yard and house away, went to the chiropractor and tended to the (too many) plants I have inside. Need to make dinner and start brining the meat I didn't freeze from the goat I just butchered. I'm going to turn it into jerky. I also changed a bulb in the bathroom light fixture and ordered a new light for the bathroom because a) I've been wanting to do it anyway and b) that fixture eats an inordinate number of light bulbs.

Underground bbq goat 🐐 🤤. Wrap in gunny sacks and cook slowly. Dig it up in the afternoon and dinner is served 😍

My Irishman has been purchasing furniture for his new home.
When he had price shock the first 3 times we went out together looking.
We struck a deal........
He would buy my solid wood furniture in the storage room
Because my furniture in storage was solid wood, not cheap press wood.
Hence I have extra cash, he has furnished almost two rooms in his new home.
Double win for me, soon I won't need that storage unit at all.
Furniture that became mine after my Dad died.
So now he has 2 solid oak nightstands, oak and Iron Queen size bed,a pair of lamps for the master bedroom.
In one of the quest rooms he has a single oak nightstand, twin bed frame and a dresser, one lamp.
My Irishman took me out to dinner tonight.
It was very pleasant, candlelight, wine, soft music playing in the background.
Very romantic.

I got a ring too.
Not an engagement ring, but a promise ring of sorts.
It was his Grandmother's and he thought I would treasure it more.

I picked up little granddaughter from her bus trip band competition a bit ago, and on the 15 min ride home, all I heard was Jordan.....
Jordan and her sat next to each other on the bus
Jordan and her held hands on the bus everyone thought they were cute and took selfies
Jordan and her watched the sun set out the bus window
Jordan is the cutest boy she ever saw in her whole life
Jordan is so smart and such a good percussionist
She is glad tomorrow and the next day are school days so she can see Jordan (Friday starts Spring Break).
