Yes.. They are a beautiful animal...
When I lived in the ...bush... in anyone in the neighborhood spotted a wolverine, cougar, grizzly, the communication grape vine net work lit up like a christmas tree sending out a warning.. Wolverine was the one predator I never saw or had to ...deal with... around our livestock and buildings..

Lynx or cougar sounding off... Both will send a chill down your spine the first time your hear that in the bush.. Especially if you can't see the animal at that moment.. Making you wonder ..what the h3ll am I doing here... Either can be most of a kilometer away and sound like they are at arms length.. One of the many reasons I miss life in the bush..

Does anyone know what kind of bird this is? Picture was taken last summer.

I ran the pic through Google Lens and my bird identification app, neither one was right! The bird app, which is now uninstalled, said it was an eastern meadowlark, hahaha, no way! GL said it is a Spotted Towhee, close, but NO! I'll check out my good ol' bird book when I'm home! Hey, back to work Pearl!!

Thanks for checking. We only saw it that one time and couldn't find it in our birdbook.

You guys have forgotten more about birds than I will ever know. I am no expert. If the Google ap didn't get it right, far be it from me to weigh in with an opinion. Keep it going, though. I am enjoying the discussion and the pictures.
