We are under a code red tonight for storms, wind maybe even hail or tornado.

I put all of the outside furniture away so it wouldn't blow into pool.

Saw where a Radio celebrity's Wife from Murfreesboro was killed by the storm .
Decherd a small town close to here was hit . Homes destroyed and a horse barn fell in on the horses but no one hurt .

Yes. Her father in law owns the local station. She and her husband did work with the homeless. My son's school which is based at her home church is doing a clothing drive in her honor.

They are asking for tarps and i have lots of Harbor Freight coupons for free tarps. I'm passin gn them out to parents so they can each get one. They are the smaller type, but maybe it will help.

We've been under a heavy blanket of wet cold fog for the past 4 days and nights (low clouds) Everything has been dripping moisture, can't see 25' in front of us, driving in it is hell'ish, fog lights don't work in this.

Kind of like it was when they filmed the original First Blood out there ?

Psalm what is the deal with the local tv stations running the scroll about a freeze tomorrow night? It's continuous.

They are treating it like a blizzard or something.

First hard freez of the year . Bring plants in or protect anything you dont want to freez . Test that antifreez in your vehicle .

Got up at 5 am this morning to break the ice on the pond for the cattle. Normally I drive the 4 wheeler out in a shallow area until the ice breaks. But today the ice was a little too thick so I had to jump on the ice until it broke. Then we drove 8 hours north to visit the kids and grandbabies. Got 3 inches of snow tonight so far. When we get home tomorrow night I'll use the Jeep to break the ice.

After over twenty years, I'll get to spend the winter in a warm friend's house in Manchester and then my cousin's warm house in Scotland. Can't wait. I like a cold bedroom with a warm duvet and blankets on the bed, and rarely close the bedroom windows, but sitting in my living room to study, wrapped in a layers of thermals, a duvet, hat and fingerless gloves, is no fun!
