Hey 3,

Anyone can say what they want...........I'd rather be driving a '68 "anythang"......than an '18 "nothing"!

Hey 3,

9.65 seconds in the 1/4!! 808 HP on pump gas! (no telling what it makes on race gas, with the "other chip"??)

Understand that all 3,000 of them are "accounted for" (at $80K)!!

Heck of a RIDE!!

80K is more than my house cost:eek:! I'm gonna hafta pass.
The gold car is an old Barracuda with an engine mounted in the rear, (you can see the Hillborn stacks thru the back glass) which explains the monster wheelie.

We parted out a couple of those. That curved back glass was worth more than we paid for the junkers.
Evidently it was extremely difficult to manufacture and expensive.

That '68 orange Super Bee was not something to toy with either. Fortunately they only dropped 125 Hemis into them. The 383 made 335HP and could definitely 'sting' you on the street if you were not on your game. There were no slow versions of that car.

Hey 42,

Went to see the Hemi's Under Glass (they were "Exhibition Cars") at Keystone Drag Way..... The L'il Red Wagon came, too!

Got to see them much later (along with the Li'l Red Wagon) at Englishtown's Mopar Madness Fridays.....

Cars were so much "Kooler" then.....

Friend of mine had a Super Bee, 383, 4 speed car. Had the machine shop (on Penn Ave.) put 413 heads on it, along with a 3/4 cam! Do not recall the carb? Carter? Holley? (been over 40 years) LOL

That thing would "tear up".....

The Mopars all had Carters. The Fords came with Holleys. Not many Mopar guys would put a "ford" carb on their engine:wait:.
The Carters were not slackers in the performance department but were so rich that the best mileage the Mopar guys got was maybe 8MPG if they stayed out of the back barrels.
If they punched it on occasion, more like 6MPG:eek:. Almost everyone has seen the big chrome back bumper of a Dodge covered with black smut once in their life.
And the Mopar guys were always itching to race back then, because they needed gas money:rolleyes:.

Hey 42,

These were something else.......with the 428 CJ "Package"!!
