Not sure what model that one is. 1949-1954's all looked similar.

My Papaw had a 49 5 window. Body wasn't in bad shape, but it used more oil than gas. LOL 6 cyl and 3 on the tree. I recall once going for a trip with him and he was going up the highway over 100 mph. He was fun to ride with. We hauled a lot of hay on that truck as well.

Can I get y'all to critic this one.
It's 400hp. Lots of leg room.
High tech. 2020. Explorer ST.
I looked it over, did not test drive.

I'm shopping....

Jim

We have the Police Interceptor SUV, which is pretty similar. The guys generally like them and they don't tend to have as many breakdowns as our Tahoes do.

We have a 2018 Lincoln MKC, great car, very high tech, 250 hp, we love everything about it ,except it's too small for me, and the GKs.
Never had a problem in 16 months.
But too small.
We are shopping.
Liked that explorer

My wife has a GMC Acadia Denali. She loves it. When my Audi Q7 arrived she drove it about a week and went right back to the GMC. She said she liked it more than the Audi.

I've gone cross country in a 2015 Explorer with the regular V-6. (About 270 HP I think.) Had plenty of power but I did not like how it drove or handled at all. The Ford Edge is a far better machine for long drives but quite a bit smaller.

If I was looking for a 3 row crossover I'd get the Traverse or the Highlander before the Explorer...

I think Acadia and Buick Enclave are same car.
I like the Enclave, haven't tried Acadia.

Thanks Spike on the Explorer experience.

We like the Caddy XT5 also.

Lexus RX350 is too small.
Don't like the BMW X3.

We had a Mazda CX-5, liked it a lot.

Infinity QX80 is gas guzzler on premium only.

We may even consider double cab truck...bad gas mileage though , and we drive a lot.

How about the Durango? I've got no experience with them, but they look nice...

Also there's the Mazda CX9. If I could afford one I'd have one...

Have not looked at either one. I will.

I'm going for surgery on 20th, so it will probably be Jan before I make a decision.

I'm 6'3" , 240 lbs, and I need more room, and need room in second row for at least 2 adults .

The MKC is just a little cramped .

The Lincoln Nautilus is not big enough .

1960 T-bird with it's iconic taillights carved out and some Mercury lenses tossed in that don't fit and of course painted the famous "Barney" purple:rolleyes:.
This is what they had:
