I will assume 40 pound bags so about 1680 pounds. I only use about ten to twenty pounds a year unless I have more projects than my own - rarely happens but my son likes the "rustic" look and so does his lovely wife.
My wood working skill are spot on for that but my metal work is considerably more refined. I did make his wife 2 pair of brass handles for her rolling pins. Gray marble and brass handles looked very good.
Hey, come to think of it she owes me a chocolate cake (KETO) for those...Oh well, I enjoyed the project and she is happy. That is what really matters.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

@SheepDog I was going to tell you TS also. Hubby bought a pallet. It is "seasonal" according to them. (So um, it will spoil if you keep it to long or you have to wait till the new crop is ripe?). :sarcasm: I think he got a bit of a break for getting a whole pallet.

We do very few presants at Christmas. I do put a tree up about a week before Christmas and it comes down the day after. We light it with real candles on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day family comes over for the feast. Perhaps that doesn't sound like much, but we are often "in the Christmas spirit" even without all the hoopla. I too prefer to wait until after Thanksgiving to begin thinking much about Christmas. I like Thanksgiving too, enjoy autumn, and appreciate the in between temps (usually!)

My first job as a professional – just out of the Navy. My new employer sent me a “Christmas Bonus” in the mail. It was a gift certificate for a honey baked ham from what is now a national chain.

The nearest store was 400 miles away, no brochure, no catalog, not even a phone number. Had to call around to find out they were 400 miles away, 10 days before Christmas.

I think I still have that worthless gift certificate.

Today we are thinking Christmas as we are all putting on blue jeans and black turtlenecks then going in for a Christmas photo shoot. Which will then become our Christmas card mailed out to family and friends. I have gotten out of this for years now but the wife wasn't having it this year. Apparently they have a red VW Beetle all set up like Santa's sleigh, complete with fake snow and fake reindeer. Oh joy.

Do you celebrate the solstice?

Is Santa a democrat? He gives free stuff that people haven't earned so I was wondering. ;)
