"CLASSIC" Lee Loader (for long term prepping)

Long-long ago, I bought a lot of these. They are now $47.00 and I remember when they were $9.99

I figured post SHTF might find work for them.

only problem is the limited calibers available.

did you know originally early on there was a full case resize version of lee classic loader....i only seen one in my life.

When they were cheap it made more sense to buy them. For something compact not requiring a bench mounted press, I would rather have one of their hand presses and die sets. I have used one at the range to reload on the fly.

i think they are awesome for that...a handfull of 'stuff' keeps you shooting out in the wilds....or close to home when supply chain is no more.

I still have mine in .30-30 caliber with a good supply of primers and IMR 3031 powder.

I have personally fired and witnessed center fire rifle calibers loaded with Lee neck sizing equipment used to good success hunting.. Like said, calibers 30-30, 30-06, 308W, 303 Brit, and 762x54R Russian... This as a first shot while hunting deer, elk, and such big game..

However.. If I were to use neck load ammo I would be VERY cautious about keeping my neck load brass separate.. For something like hunting bear, I would want a factory load as a follow up shot.. Same with Lee loader 12 ga slugs..

No knowledge or experience with pistol caliber Lee loading equipment..
