The playoffs should be interesting. Is Oregon that good? Everybody else seems pretty evenly matched: on any given day.

Just swapped emails with my brother, so we could cry in our beer after Arizona State drubbed Arizona. Both programs went in opposite directions this year. Arizona State had 46 transfers on their roster this year. You want to turn your program around? Go free-agent.

Poor Iowa st... got their butts whipped in the big 12 Champ. game.

The Dogs just beat Tx in the SEC championship! In OT no less, hats off to Kirby Smart! Lots of bad plays on both teams. Missed field goals, fumbles... I think most were due to the pressure of playing in the Sec Championship game. Tx boys were rookies and it showed. The Dogs have played in this game 7 times, that also showed.

DW watched the TXvsGA game rooting for GA because TX is A&M's rival. Great OT game!
Watching the UL Ragin Cajuns (10-2) playing in Lafayette now (on TV).
...Any fans in those stands are truly dedicated, because it is nasty out there!

OMG! Clemson won on a last second field goal... 56yrds! Talk about an ending to a game!
I just had to watch that, so I thought I would share. :D
Skip to 1:30 ...

I was at a wedding reception, and didn't see a thing. What does eveyone think of the final 12 in the playoffs? Was anybody snubbed?

It is no secret that I hate Arizona State. I posted it earlier but I will state it again. Arizona State had 46 portal transfers on their roster this year. Does anybody else see this as a problem? Apparently it is also no secret but was it the Oklahoma State coach who had his contract restructured so they could spend more money buying players?

This is not college football. This is a farm system for the NFL.

I'm waiting for an NFL team to start a Sports Management Business College, and then recruit football players to it from the portal, and then compete against the other college teams. Seems like there is quite a bit of money to be made in a game pitting the Dallas Cowboys Business College ✭ vs. the University of Alabama Crimson Tide.

Love it. Do you think you can get the NCAA to sanction that?

Yes. There isn't much reason for these teams to be associated with universities anymore. No place for amateur sports anymore in the United States.
There are still three teams that play for the love of the sport and not to get in the NFL or win endorsements worth cash.
Army, Navy, and Air Force. Love of country comes first for these guys.

Army only had one loss this year, to Notre Dame. Army won the AAC Championship Dec 6th.

Next comes REAL football. Army/Navy this coming Saturday Dec 14 at 3:00 PM on CBS.
Brothers In Arms who are willing fight and die alongside one another - except for 3 hours one day a year. Then it's SERIOUS BUSINESS.

GO ARMY!!! BEAT NAVY!!!

Hey @Supervisor42

Alabama football has its bowl destination. The Crimson Tide is on the way to Tampa, where it will face Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl, the schools and game announced on Sunday.

With the matchup set, Alabama also learned time and television designations for the final game of its 2024 season. The game will kick off at 11 a.m. CT, Tuesday Dec. 31, at Raymond James Stadium.

Maybe not endorse it, but I'm not sure how they could stop it. Maybe they could??? But, FBS schools are allowed to play non-FBS schools, so the regular season would just be a matter of scheduling. I suppose they could try to keep them out of the College Football Playoff, but now that I think about it, the NCAA doesn't control that either. The CFP is not like the NCAA basketball tournament, which is run by the NCAA. It is more like the old NIT, which was totally outside the control of the NCAA.

If academic accreditation becomes an issue, the NFL team could just affiliate with a small local university.

SMU looked frozen in happy valley! They weren't ready for the game and were never in it! Maybe the stage was too big, don't know the reason, but they got a whoopin!!! I didn't think pennst was that good, looked invincible against smu though!

Texas/clemson was a fun game to watch. Both teams were ready to play and the kids played their hearts out. Texas was just a better team.

It don't look good for tn so far. They look frozen just like smu did earlier. They need to stand up and represent the sec! On the other hand they've done this all season, looked like crap in the first half then came out firing in the 3rd. It may be too little too late against ohst. They need to thaw out now! 21 zip at the end of the 1st Q.
