I don't even try to not eat sweets this time of year. What I will do is try to counter-balance what I eat. If I eat a cookie, I also have to eat some carrots or a salad or . . . . that puts something good in my system and it does keep me full longer. Not a perfect solution, but at least I don't just fill up on junk.I can not get motivated. I don't know why.
Maybe stress or depression. Christmas does that to me.
I continue to eat things I know I shouldn't.
I'm an impulse eater. I eat something before I even think about it.
I will keep working at it and hopefully get enthused.
After Christmas, I will get more serious about it. We don't eat horribly even with the extra sweets, it's just eliminating the sweets that really helps.
