diet starting today

Well...i was about to let the day get away from me....but hit the road and went to a different spot today...had to be careful a bit muddy...my tracker thingy wouldnt work....i spent a solid hour and half in woods messing around looking and searching...had a real good time.....only 1 squirrel.

good day to be alive !

hiked...got it done...was stepping bigger steps and faster and felt strong all the way back to truck...sweated...only seen a buzzard.....it was nice here 43f and partially sunny.

week 33 day 7

today I made pizza, and red lentil soup
plus we had some more of the chocolate bread
not a diet day, might finish it off with some wine or a beer just because

hiked.....it got warm in afternoon sun...it hit 68f....it was 26f this morning.

no wildlife except song birds all working brushpiles and weed piles !

week 34 day 2

bad food day today, chili dogs, that's it. Not really that many calories, no more than we eat usually maybe even less, but junk. But I rarely do this. Son texted that he was going out for dinner with his new boss, and we got home late from shopping, so that worked today

hiked.....66f and wind blowing on and off.....no wildlife....bright and sunny...loved it.

week 34 day 3

after yesterday's diet failure today I am going to make chinese stir fry , plus egg drop soup

got to hike early today....i was headed to big forest but professor couldnt go so that was on hold...hiked my regular trail....seen 1 deer,1squirrel and song birds. its 20 degrees cooler today than yesterday and overcast...life is good !

by the way a few days ago i heard a pileated woodpecker on my regular trail...thats a first there for me...now i know they like up the river a mile or so at another spot i go because i see and hear them there often...its sorta closed off for now so cant go up there.

also another spot up river about 3 miles theres eagles at times but dont see them in area i go through regular for whatever reason.

week 34 day 4

finally stuck to my diet again yesterday, did not eat after 6 and only had a pear in the evening, but one day is not enough I need to do it for the entire week to lose any weight.

Today I am going to make lasagna , and some vegetable soup. I will not eat a huge amount, can't really , that stuff is very filling
If I stick to my one real meal a day diet, it really does work. You can pretty much eat anything you want for that one meal because you will be full before you can eat too much. It makes perfect sense that this will work. Try eating 1500 calories of home cooking in one meal. You will be super full.

hiked...it was rainy and real dark and gloomy most of the day then in afternoon it started clearing off so i hit the trail...coming back home it started clouding back up again...no wildlife...it was 52f

Professor??? 'splain!

roflmao....lets see the professor....hes a young man thats super smart and knows lots of about nature and birds,reptiles etc. when he was 10 years old he got to go to local college and talk with real life professors about dinosaurs for a few hours and later afterwards he said its the most intelligent conversation i had in years....lol...he would correct teachers all through school....lol...later on out of school he has found multiple species (salamanders)not known in our region and got published in yearly magazine giving him credit and more.

he likes hitting woods with me because i know so many places to go. i showed him his first rattler last year after wanting to for years to see one and trying.he jabbers on entire time with me talking birds and reptiles and trees etc. he has to do deal with my lack of ability to talk latin names though....lol i tease him telling him latin names say the same thing common talk does....i say red bird he says cardinal.....latin name (Cardinalis cardinalis)..i point out its saying red bird to tease him...roflmao..the kid is over my pay grade...he likes it cause i know more than anyone he knows about these subjects. hes disabled and cant go as much as i want him to. i tell him you need to go because i am about twice your age and one day i wont be able to...the kid cant read a compass and gets lost easily..i am trying to teach him a few things i try and get him to find our way back to truck. i bought him a compass too.

i guess you say he is a citizen scientist.

hiked....got to go at noon today....warden seen fit for early release today... 1 squirrel and many song birds...bright sunshiny day with cool air at 51f...good to be alive i tell ya !
