GG, I THINK what he was trying to say was that someone like Toexist could achieve "Prepping God" status just by posting a bunch of crap.

DR,,,
Toexit was not that bad,he did bring things to the table but he clashed with a number of members and had a on going war with them,,,,I think had he not been constantly defending Chicago and living in a city he would still be a member,,,,,,,,,,,,,

what I am getting at is what went on while he was here was not all his fault

With all due respect, I have to disagree. Toexist made his bed all by himself. Yes, I was one of the people he clashed with hardest, but he clashed with nearly everyone. It wasn't the clashing that was the problem, it was his erroneous stance on every single thing.

It wasn't defending Chicago that buried him. He defended everything liberal. Sure, go do that on Hillary's website, but not here without actual facts that support it (which don't exist). The only thing he was consistent about was being wrong.

sad,,,you attack him when he is not even here,,,,,now I have better things to do tonight,,,,

I don't see why having served in the military would make someone a better member. I reached the rank of Eagle Scout but never joined the military, and feel I have better wilderness survival skills than plenty, or even most military veterans.

Thats not at all what he said. Read it again slowly.....

Actually, I have a friend who made Eagle Scout, he's a really capable guy, and I would put him up against most any average military in a survival situation. I didn't receive ANY survival training in the US military (and I didn't advance far enough in the Legion to get any there, before I failed out) so all my "survival skills" are non military.

I have been told that the members that I had an issue with, are fine as far as most are concerned, and that's good enough for me.

I don't want to not come here, and not enjoy the benefits of the site, or the information that other members have that would benefit me.

Look at arcticdudes posts about so much snow that he can't see his lane to dig it out. Or heating his generator. He has hard core cold long term cold weather experience I certainly don't. He's not prepping for it, he is living it, it's not theoretical. So I can learn from that.

Plenty of things to learn, I am looking forward to following Robinjopo's beekeeping, the wife and I can't wait to be in a place we can have bee's, what she is doing directly affects things I want to do, and are part and parcel of the prepping and self sufficiency I hope to enjoy soon.

So... I'm good here lol. Skeeter made a good point, although at the same time misreading my post, I will stop ignoring him. Maybe I will learn something.

As for titles, not really my thing. I would definitely agree on them being based more on the MEAT of ones posts vs. amount, etc. I can be pretty prolific, but hopefully I've shared some good insight and info too.

I know I've certainly learned a lot here as well.

That said, I've also had to recently TEST those preps pretty full force. In doing so, sure it sucked, but I was also fortunate enough to then learn what I'm doing right, but more importantly, what I was doing WRONG. And I definitely felt compelled to share the info I learned about both. ;)

I can see where the OP is coming from, anyone with a high post count to their name gets a label and it can be very misleading.
The thing I have issue with are the one or two line posts that rarely have much to do with the OP, have little to information to impart and frequently derail a thread.
And yeah, the ignore function is good.

The super short posts are, IMO, from spending a lot of time on twitter, or Instagram or something. Probably either directly copying someone on twitter, or modifying a post they saw on twitter.

It's the way they are typed, the wording used... lol. I'm still pretty sure it's the same person on two accounts, which is easy to do if you have a computer and a smart phone. You can be on at the same time.

But who would be so determined to troll that they would make the time and effort to sign up twice and post such weird things? And then, they aren't even trolling hard! Careful to avoid the ban hammer. It's almost interesting in a clinical way, when I can stay detached and not let it get it to me, to see the subjects they post about. Crossdressing, consumerism, becoming a ninja, being against self defense... you can't make it up!

Wanting gun control is the same as being "against self defense"? LOL. Are you the troll?

I didn't even know they had titles until I saw that someone's said God like. I thought he just had a high opinion of himself.

Then it happened to me and I looked it up.

If someone's life is so lacking that these few words under their name is actually a goal, someone needs to get a hobby

...or life. I didn't notice that either.

I think this is their hobby. What other reason do they have for being here? It certainly isn't because they are interested in prepping.

While he may have been intentionally combative and argumentative at times, I do think it is tough (and know from experience!) to have liberal views on certain issues yet still identify as a prepper and try to fit in on a prepper forum. So many conservatives and liberals as well are so hateful of the other side that they automatically react with hostility to someone from the other side without even listening to what they have to say.
I think people are FAR more similar than they are different.

When folks post about cross dressing etc.. like a number of post are 'baiting post' looking to combative argument or forcing a flaming reply. Tonto was targeting conservatives to provoke a response and that's quite apparent from several of his OP, followup and post. That is a troll, he had no desire in constructive dialog.
