If everybody folds, everybody loses.

I can take heat, I will try to stay out any type of change, I moved here because of the people who were here after I watched for a while.

I was hoping it would be here as long as I was and all of the people I gave likes and some I really love the way they live their lives and work so hard.

It is the current state of the American Dream that the politicians have decided everyone but their chosen ones should have to spend their day hard at work to live at all comfortably.

When I was just starting to work and making 35 cents an hour that was a little more than the price of an ounce of gold, it took 36 weeks work to buy a 3 year old Galaxie with about 40,000 miles on it.

It took 11 years to pay for a house, 1/2 of an hour for a gallon of refund gas if you had a farm.

A man could work and buy a farm if one came up for sale and work his way to self sufficiency.

If the wife worked production at a garment factory or textile mill and was good she could earn more than the man.
BUT they always raised production rates when most everyone got to the level they had set.

So now the 15 dollar rate gives you about the same time to buy a used 10 year old Toyota Camry with @ 100,000 on it

The 15 cannot buy you a decent house in three lifetimes and your family working can't buy a commercial grade farm unless there are 20 people working for it.

As for gas it will cost you about 1/3 of an hour for a gallon.

Just a small part of the equation.

It seems that everything he government has us do is geared toward making most working people homeless and dependent on them for shelter and commercial farming/food synthesis and production for sustenance.

So what are our "employees" really up to?? And when will we fire them for bad acting and Embezzling our money and not doing their sworn duty?

This new buy out was totally new and NO TRANSPARENCY!!! Not good for our members, which is probably why you haven't seen much interactions.
wasnt the other forum owned for a good while?..like 2 years or more...the original owner sold it correct...clyde? from your post in another thread i think.

He who can not hunt, farms. he who can not farm steals,
and he who can not steal hangs by the neck as a warning
to others. The dude should have tried fishing and sold his
catch to the hunter and farmer for bait and fertilizer.

I laid down for my usual nap today...
Did everything just right...
It no workee today.

just tucked the chickens in ......busy busy day. Getting close to having our place cleaned up for the insurance inspection.....seems the common number for how far away from the house you have to have firewood is 20 feet...I wonder if they will notice I have 15 cord 20 feet away from the house...I got some really nice brown tarps from costco so maybe the mountain on my property line will blend in?

I'm always wiped out when i get back from town. It was nearly 3pm, to late for a nap. Got a 15min pwr nap anyway, did me good. Got all the cans of diesel from town unloaded, even filled up both tractors. Then i was toast again...

Bought an experiment, an electric kettle. Heats to a boil then turns off. I got one with a clear glass kettle on purpose. I wanted to see what was happening inside the water. Obviously i can quickly heat water for tea but i intend to use to make medicines, experiment a little. 🤫

And it has another use... i watch 'Good Eats', a cooking show. Several times I've seen the episode where an electric kettle is used to boil eggs. What's the worst that could happen?? Can't use it to make tea anymore? I like my small stainless steel kettle anyway.

Of course everything could go wrong and i'm out $30. But hey, it might be a spectacular demise. 🤣

If they are coming for a second inspection, you gotta leave something out for them to 'find' that can be instantly fixed.
They will feel that they have done their job, and leave early. One piece of firewood leaning against the house should do the trick.
I learned this in my years as a supervisor whenever my crew had to be 'inspected'. ;) :)

That's interesting @Peanut never heard of it.
Electric glass kettle, looked at a yt video. Comes to a boil in 7 minutes or less. Saves electricity (they say). "Adds a touch of modern elegance to your kitchen." haha.

I made a hot percolation tincture with usnea last year, used a crockpot. Wasn't happy with the whole process, to many unanswered questions. I made good tinctures, don't misunderstand. But I couldn't monitor the changes over time very well. I want to run small scale percolation that i can monitor, this kettle might let me do that.

@Peanut have you ever filmed your processes of tincture making for yourself?
Another thing, these new stupid cooktops take forever to get water to a boil, even if I put a lid on the pan. I might switch over to the electric glass kettle. I have a teapot I use to infuse my teas, but it is for after the water has boiled, ya know.
