We had spring fer bout a week an then straight ta the cooker! Month a June generally be in the 70's an lower 80's. July and August bein our hot months. Not this year! Uperr 80's, 90's an had one day already what were 101!

Deck be nearly done on the redo, but then decided ta add a few thins to it. Had one area what always collected junk so cleaned that all out and put a mini deck there fer the trash cans an hose reel. Addin in a nice little shelf fer momma ta do with as she pleases.

New apple trees be growin good an have survived the storms of late. Garden is comin long fine.

Next project be my solar system. I dug out my panels an found I had more then I remembered. I got 8 high end 20 watt panels an 8 good deep cycle batteries. Not a huge system but will be nice ta have extra power just in case. Don't like runnin generators ifin I don't have ta.

Health issues kinda keep me from goin full tilt these days. I work till I get tired an take a break. Things just take longer en they used ta. Deal with the hand I was dealt, all I can do.

Hope everbody has a safe an enjoyable summer.

Hey Coot, glad to see you back. I like your grammar it makes me look better.:great::huggs:

Charm ta a home be just like BOAT in the marine world, "Bust out another thousand".

Yeah, one of those ongoing “charmed” homes here. Intend to do one job you best expect 4 others to do before, during, or after the original project. As of late including today I have been putting new siding on one wall of the garage. This started as a demo, then rebuild and replace the roof, now siding and cement foundation patch and repair. Next will be soffit and facia and finally paint. Once that’s done an old block chimney will come down and that wall repaired, sided, and painted. Labor is cheap (me) and since I’m unemployed currently I’m getting these annoyances buttoned up. As Coot said though, I’m not moving as fast as when I was 20 years younger but it’s getting done.

Thanks. Hopefully it will be ready for paint by the weekend. Amongst the other projects it’s the primary now and then on to siding the house. I’m only one person so good thing I’m not working at the moment. I expect I will be in a month or so and that will eliminate any free time again for anything but small projects.

Second floor gutters are getting higher every year and the extension ladder is getting heavier too. Ground must be harder too because I don't bounce as good as I once did. So I placed a online order with a Big Box store (BBs) for three items. Power washer, 18' telescoping wand and a "T" gutter adapter. My theory is with the assistance of these three items I can blast the gutters clean while I'm standing on the ground while wearing a rain coat or my Birthday suit.

BBs sent me a email, there is a problem with my payment (credit card). Please call to resolve. I"m guessing I did a typo when I entered my CC info. I called and after 15 minutes listening to a loop that they are busy and the next available...Ron answers my call.

Ron explains the three items are being shipped from three different location. OK with me, shipping is still free.

BBs "had to" charge my CC three separate times, once for each item. OK with me, SO?

The Power washer and "T" gutter adapter has been shipped. OK fine. I stifle a yawn and interrupted Ron. "What is the payment problem?"

Ron says my CC company blocked the purchase of the 18' telescoping wand. I can either use a different CC or call my CC to have the block removed. I choose my option three, cancel my order for the 18' wand. "Oh" Ron says he can do that too.

Hangup with my call with Ron. Amazon search I find the exact 18' telescoping wand for just a fuzz more then the BBs and with free shipping too. Used the same CC to place my order. Scratching my head wondering how my CC company will react.

I wonder why the cc company would have a problem with the wand?

Well my wand replacement order with Amazon the CC blocked too. Called the CC, completely automated process.
Evidently it wasn't what was ordered but where the order was shipped from? I took the block off. Totally strange. I normally don't stay far from home but this spring I traveled in six different states, bought gas, food and what not with the same CC without a problem

P.S. I know why the CC blocked the wand!?!?!? Because it has a grip and trigger, looks like a gun?!?!?!?

I want a solarium or greenhouse addition to our house. And my van very dependable. The forest is growing in on us too.
Greenhouse would supply us food all year round here in Florida. I'd have to partially shade it in summer and use house to heat it in winter.

Need to rent heavy front end loader to push forest back that is climbing over our fences and keeping varmits too close.

Old van needs a over haul.
Van is number one ,greenhouse 2 and forest someday.A real cheap one ,used materials.

Hind site is SOOOOOO 20-20. Should have done it when house was built.

@Meerkat I have to agree with the hind sight. That is why I spend so much time in research for the THH project. It is expensive to build but triple the cost to add to the build. I cannot tell you how many times I have changed the design and layouts. Cheap to do on computer, very expensive to do after it is built.

We built small and glad we did. 24X34 and a 32X10 front porch. Commercial engineer helped me design the house to be sturdy. A couple things I didn't give us was a bigger kitchen and sun room or greenhouse. I did get a big room upstairs thanks to my architech. A nice little cracker house.

Mowed the yard and tried to shoot another grass carp,no luck though.

P.S. Man I hate summer. It's a whopping 77 degrees out there and all I was doing was feeding and watering the ducks and dogs and putting the ducks up and I'm sweating my a** off.

77°? That would be nice, 102° today. Of course if your humidity was way over our 16% then it would make 77° a sauna.

Our humidity is usually over 40%, ,like now it's 88%,in the summer but with it being right before sundown it felt like 77. Now it's 67 and feels like 67 even though the humidity's that high. Don't make much sense to me but that's what they say,the humidity only changes it maybe 10 degrees at the most when it does effect it.
