Welcome back

I'm on a mailing list for a national but small chain hardware store and got a notification flyer recently that said buy one get one free on their birdseed. I've looked at their birdseed before, sometimes bought it from them, but in general think it is too expensive and the wild birdseed display area is messy. As I stood there a couple of months ago looking at stuff, some movement caught my eye. It was a rat, in the middle of the day, cruising around on a shelf about 8 feet away from me. I approached the register and told them they had a rat. "Oh yeah, we've tried everything, poison, traps..." On and on she went with the stories.
One day this past week I stopped in to see what they had (per the sale). It was a mess. It hadn't occurred to me they would be having the sale to clean out the rat problem. There was bird seed all over the two shelves and a faint rodent odor.
:barf:
Solutions: stop selling bird seed. Store it in metal garbage cans. Get a cat or a snake. That is so gross. Rats can also become infected with the hantavirus which is transmissable to humans. At any rate, yuck.
