Get some fountains, our cats LOVE them. You don't have to pay 80$ for the whole fountain. I buy 8$ pumps and put them in a water bowl. They can wash their feet and faces in a fountain!! And the floor too, lots of fun!!

The upstairs has 2 fountains, the dog lives downstairs and his fat head just doesn't get the fountain.

On more than one occasion the "flower" has been pulled out of the center of the fountain, lid pulled off, and water all about anyway.

At least I don't have to run a humidifier.

Cats are so much fun, I'm speechless just thinking about ours! Sound asleep for the next little bit! UNTIL, bed time....game on, cat racing time, over the people!!

Of course we have barn cats now and when I was a kid. I had a cat for a lot of years as a house pet, only one. My job didn't allow for a dog, I might have to be gone 3 days, but a cat? Leave out a big bowl of water and food, good to go!

A tech invited me to a holiday dinner, she had a box of kittens. Said I could have one, a Birman. I didn't want a long hair but a free kitten is free.

So I watched the kittens playing trying to pick one out. My tech kept saying "Pick this one! Pick this one!" Of all the kittens I didn't want that one. Even by cat standards I knew this cat wasn't normal! And she wasn't!

I felt pressure to select it, so I took it home. 16 years later I had her put down. She lived a long time, and took cat insanity to new heights.

This cat was nuts!!! I even taught her to fetch, she loved playing. She'd bring me small objects when she wanted to play... she was not normal, abby something. She was a living meme... belongs here.

True story, I was assigned a clinic in Houston. The company was opening one. My job was to install a catscan and work with the contractors to get the clinic suite finished.

Sometimes, gawd I hate to say it but it's been true in my experience, certain groups of people are terrified of cats.

I was staying at a Marriott Residence Inn, gonna be there several months. I could either leave my cat to be boarded at the vets office or take her with me... Cheaper to bring her and pay the pet fee at the hotel.

After 4 days I had to call the front desk. My room wasn't being cleaned, nothing. No fresh towels or garbage taken out..

The hotel staff person assigned to clean my room was terrified of my cat (all cats). The problem was quickly resolved but that was my first experience with some one terrified of cats. I saw this happen a few more times in the years that followed. In some of the Caribbean islands cats are feared, something to do with witches or zombies or evil in general terms.

We took one of our cats, a black DSH from the local shelter, to a cat show. One judge wouldn't get near him because he was black and evil 😈

My mother was attacked by a a cat in her youth. That left a mark on my generation re: cats.

My son and granddaughters on the other hand live with cats.

Nuff said.
