Last year while we were up at the cabin, the Amish farm we frequent had fresh peas. Dad bought all they had out—nearly a half bushel. Took the two us about three hours to shell them.

This is probably the last post about my mini garden. The tomato plants seem to be on their way out. The heat is just too much for them. I did get a LOT of tomato's though, so many that I had to give some to my neighbor (about 8). The peppers are still going well & producing a lot. The mini peppers, there's a lot there but I don't know what I will do with them. They say small & hot on the tag but hot is a huge understatement. I normally have no problem eating hot peppers but these are something else. I tried just biting one of them & it was a huge mistake. I was on fire for a good 10 minutes. My wife just touched one with her tongue (I talked her into it), I got cussed out. Oh well.
Got my first picking green beans last night. They will be served with the smoked ribeye tonight. Peppers are finally starting to form on the buds. One plant has peppers dangling already. I planted bell peppers that I started from a new packet of seeds. This pepper is not a bell. It looks like a sweet banana or a Hungarian.
Mother Nature is watering my garden gently at the moment.
