I appreciate the response and it is good to see the differing perspective and experience people have from different areas. I find a high number of perppers in Australia are ex-military, maybe they saw thing most Australians don't. Most Australians are so laid back and it always "she be right mate". There is growing numbers in Aus and local perpper forums are picking and very busy. I am originally from South Africa and have already bugged out to a safer country 9 years ago.
That is a long fight south to visit our first get together prepper meeting. Apparently "geotracker1" is from Northern NSW Australia which could be a bit far north of Newcastle Australia where there are a few preppers and we are trying to get some face time.
I only noticed now that the original post is 2 months old - perhaps will still get a response.
