Happens all the time. Even at work, and they have very strong IT blocking programs running

That is how Google earns its add money. Connecting people that are looking to those that are selling.

There was a thread here where people were bragging about how wonderful their Vitamix blenders were.
I didn't type a reply to any of the posts;
I didn't click on any link about it...
And magically, ads for the Vitamix start appearing on every website I go to .
How did they know?

I don't use google, never shop on line, this site is my only social media, leave my phone God only, knows where for weeks on end, and the tablet has to listen to Flatts and Scruggs and Oscar Walstrom who was the dearly departed lead singer and guitar player of his band from way back in the bush, back in the day.

I don't get ads for some reason, and it might not be due to my adblockers. They don't call me Clem for nothing.

So I have a conspiracy theory: wanna hear it?
So day before yesterday, I grabbed a piece of junk mail from Special Olympics. Mailbox is at the end of the lane - stopped to get out to get the mail. Phone stays in the car. I threw the piece of mail on the passenger seat with my purse which my phone was in. That evening, there were feeds on my YT suggestions for Spec. Olymp. My thought is those scan blocks with the squiggly lines have some sort of magnetic coding or some such thing that the phone can trace.
Curious as to your thoughts.
