There was one of those that really screwed up a buddies Remington 700 BDL 7mm Mag.
He cold blued it over the factory bluing and he shellacked the stock right over the factory finish.
It was a real mess. I bought the gun from my buddy and took it to a real gunsmith. She stripped everything off and refinished it correctly. Cost me $100 for the gun and another $150 for the gunsmith.
That was 45 years ago and I still have it even tho I don't hunt any more.
That woman is still doing gunsmith work and is even better than she used to be when she was in her early 20s.
