Wow! look at all the 😕 Truth is, it is sad! We went from headed back to the top to almost a banana republic in less than two years!

Cheaper & lower prices.
The "lower prices" are caused by the "cheaper". I bought some Hanes T-Shirts in a Walmart once. They were the chinzy-ist, flimsy-ist, most ridiculously thin T-Shirts I have ever seen (not evident until you opened the package). These were NOT the same Hanes T-Shirts that you buy in other stores, which are much higher quality.

Things in Walmart are less expensive for a reason, and it's not all because of volume purchasing. Just because items look like, and are labeled like, a brand you may trust does not mean they are that brands standard quality. Walmart negotiates with manufacturers to make lower quality versions of items so that Walmart can sell them for less than normal stores that handle the better quality versions.

But you can snag good deals at Walmart too. If you go to buy Gaviscon antacids in a grocery store, hang on to your wallet. But if you go to Walmart and buy their generic copy of the stuff, it's like 1/3 the price and it works (and tastes) just as good. I would be willing to try something like a $20 package of Walmart toilet paper to see if it's any good. But I wouldn't even remotely consider buying something like a computer there, even if it had a respected brand name on the box. Buying from Walmart is like buying direct from China. Yeah, it's cheaper, but you better research exactly what you will be getting in advance ............
