Yep. In Sioux City, Iowa the local drug store sent the film 100 miles away to Omaha, Nebraska.And how much fun was it waiting 2-3 weeks to get your pictures back from wherever they went when you mailed them in???
What was up with that? It seemed to be the trend in the '70s/'80s - no one could frame a picture to save their lives. There were face to face conversations, true. Intelligent? Meh...if you were lucky.And no cell phones. You weren't standing next to each other texting, you were actually having intelligent conversations.
No but they where watching out their window for the telephone man to deliver and install it.
I remember renting those from ATT. They were $4 a month.
