Just throwing this into "general" Prepping awareness.

The Sound of Silence

Song by

Simon & Garfunkel
Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams, I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a streetlamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light, I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never shared
No one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
"Fools", said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
In tenement halls"
And whispered in the sounds of silence

The POINT I am aspiring to make (yes, likely poorly) is all of the most skilled and knowledgeable preppers will be "VANISHED".......silent on forums post SHTF. They will not be available to help. HELL, Likely there will be no internet.

I really don't think a forum is necessary for prepping. Yes, it's nice to share ideas with people in other parts of the country, but it isn't necessary. If all this electronic stuff disappeared tomorrow, it wouldn't change anything that we do. People would have to come together face to face to share ideas and to help each other. Not really a bad thing as far as I'm concerned.

I think you missed my point.

There are at any point (in time) on this and other forums humans with little to zero, prepping and/or survival knowledge/skills. They may have only just started learning about prepping/survival.

My point, is those most knowledgeable and experienced will "VANISH".

The only "face to face" get together will be as they put the "problem" into a body bag.
