Found an older picture of what the door looked like before. It did get worse than this at one point though:

Got some large backer rod and put it in some of the gaps around the back door. In some spots it wasn't enough so I also crammed in small backer rod next to it. Found it worked better if I pinned them together with toothpicks. Found some toothpicks that could pierce them but broke off very easily on the edge of the counter. Was able to get behind some 2x4 blocks with the backer rod. Then I used door & window great stuff. 2 cans. Still have a little left in one can. Might do some more filling in on the right side if there's enough left. Then I'll trim & clean it up. Instructions on the can said to take any cut off pieces and cram them into cracks. I put my hand near the door to feel for air/cold coming in before insulating and it was noticeably different afterward.
