You bet we are fancy!!You two are fancy ladies! And I have no idea what that thing is.
See LadyLocust, and you thought you were just hiding dirt under your nails! Now you are fancy!!Ha Ha.
My favorite cousin calls anyone with makeup or nail polish on, fancy ladies.
I think it's funny.
I posted what it is, look back a few posts!! 1940's veggie slicer!Well, you are too, Pearl. Ha
You have fancy nails.
There's a story behind this. I missed a family Sunday dinner because of Mother's Day and we had mom over. My favorite cousin calls me the next morning. Her sis in law (who is formally amish, but now fancy) stopped in. She had a new purse that had black and white cow hide on it, had tons of jewelry, makeup on, and had her nails done and painted. My favorite cousin said she missed me so much, and was so tired of looking at fancy. I guess it was a compliment? Ha Ha for me.
Back to the subject. I have no clue what that thing is Lady L.
I'm thinking pictures!! And keep those dirty nails covered in them!!Whoops! OK!
Lady L, you need to slice some veggies and show us how they turn out
Indian cookware?
Looks like tabs would work for the inserts
Ben
The lid is interesting. This could have been for distilling water. The pointed lid would allow water to fall back down.Another one: I found this copper pot this weekend for a price I couldn't pass up, but it appears to be missing a piece inside. Anyone know just what the part missing is? I am guessing it's for steaming etc. unless you tell me otherwise.

I haven't washed it yet, but I will
That is what I thought. That jigger looks like a egg yoke/white separator to me
We'll remind you if it doesn't happen soon!I will figure out something to slice and use it and try to remember to take pictures
Thank you - you know how I amWe'll remind you if it doesn't happen soon!
Learning more and more everydayThank you - you know how I am
The slicer isn't staying. I will attach the photo. It essentially works like a cheese grater but slower and less efficiently. It would either break the carrot or pull off a chunk of it. Carrot tasted the same but guess I found it pointless. It will go in the donation box but was worth 25c. to figure it out. Thank you Pearl.Learning more and more everyday

I don't like having multiple tools to do the same job and have actually worked pretty hard at decluttering the kitchen then keeping it from reentering

That is kind of the nature of children, to use too much soap. That sounds a little steep in price.
I'm actually looking for an antique soap wire basket with a handle that is used in the kitchen for putting in a bar soap for washing dishes. You run the water over it instead of using liquid dish soap. We go through alot of liquid dish soap. The grandkids over use it.
I see obo which tells me it isn't selling for that. That's just what they are asking. It's all washed and in the box. I thought about putting the first clip you posted with it so folks would know what it was, but thought "why ruin the fun."View attachment 87189Think again, might could sell it for a couple of gallons of gas!!
I have 2 of those. Handy! Both were estate sale finds. They have them on amazon but a quick search & it's cheaper on etsy. That sounds a little steep in price.
