Those look like the wild grape vines around here. They will kill trees given enough time. We have cut all found in our woods. We've been fighting vines like that for decades down here. Still doing so.

What kind of horse is the gray one? I used to have a gray horse, but not with markings so nice. She was a nearsighted thoroughbred. Very sweet but her vision was too bad for her to be in races. Wish I had some pics of her. I do have pics of the red horse who was an a-hole. As a weird aside, I play D&D and I was planning out my character's look, equipment, companions, etc & I wanted a horse that looked like that gray one. Wish I could find a painted model of that horse as a miniature for the gaming.
Those are all some really beautiful horses. Have you ever been to the Horse Park in Kentucky? You would probably love it if you like horses.
I love all the horse pictures! I used to have all sorts of books on horses as a kid. Also had some horse statues. I finally gave one of my favorite ones to my best friend's daughter (since she likes horses) and I was afraid it would get ruined at my house.

Since it's the anniversary of my dad's death, some pics of him & my mom and the horse.

The red horse was named Beans. Original name was Red Beans but we just called him Beans. He also answered to D***head and C***sucker. He was a real jerk. Not a smooth ride. He'd try to scrape people off on low tree branches, barn overhang, he'd sit down, kneel, roll, etc to try to get people off his back. He mostly did it to heavier people. Sometimes to kids if they tried to control him-- although he was actually good with very small children. For some reason he would behave with the little ones. But he would terrorize non-human animals like pigs, goats, and calves. He also bullied & bit other horses. One of my sister's friends brought her horse for a visit. Beans tried to bully her and ended up with hoof prints on his chest for a week. That horse would stand guard over the trough while our gray horse ate her fill. Then the visiting horse would eat while Beans looked on sadly. We made sure they all got food of course, but it was funny seeing him being bullied instead of bullying everything & everyone. He loved watermelons- was notorious for trying to steal them when people had them in their pickup beds. We would shout "Beans, Watermelon!" and he'd come running.
Not a watermelon, but a pic of a squash dad grew:

Beans would hurt people if he was in a bad enough mood or just felt mischievous. He got mad about something once and deliberately kicked a roll of chickenwire at me. He also chomped my leg pretty hard once- took one of the freckles off of it. The red cow saw him do it & got mad. She charged over & rammed him. He wasn't expecting it. He never tried to bite me around her again- and she followed me around like a puppy. That's a real nice squash there. Beans sounds like a real handful.lol I've road many of them, been scrape off more than once under tree limbs. They always knew the trails to take off through and give you the ride of your life. We rode to school on horses tie em out, till time for home, got the ride of our life closer we got to home. Horses are always good natured to hurt people and kids, their a lot smarter than people think.
