I was riding bike up higher in the mountains a couple days ago. They had received more snow than we did. There was a fair amount of green growth there. None here at my place. I think it is all about the moisture of the soil.

We are just starting to see some green around the water troughs where the water spills.

Speaking of web feet... found an old photo album... These were my geese when I was little, maybe 8 or 9. These were taken well before the tornado in '74. They'd meet the school bus every afternoon, honking loudly, glad to see me. Being geese they hated strangers, wouldn't let people get out of their cars.

The 1st pic, the old apple orchard is on the embankment behind the geese. there are two buildings further back on the right. Far right was the old corn crib. The dark one was a storage building.

The second pic... The shadow is my grandfather, I'd know that hat anywhere, even 50yrs later. The building on the left sitting into the hillside was the old storm & root cellar, two doors, 4 racks of shelves.

My house now sits into the same hill side. I'm currently typing about 10ft from the wall of the old cellar.

I took friends out harvesting a medicinal this afternoon. Beautiful day, sun shining and warm. The creek was to high to get all the yellowroot we needed. We loaded up and went to a 2nd place it grows.

Got enough for a gallon of tincture, 2quarts each. We came back to my house to process the plant material. I'll harvest some more later in the summer when the creek is lower. The water was too cold for wading waist deep today.

Yasuke on rare occasions will sleep somewhere on my bed but the past couple of days he's been sitting on me. I managed to snag a picture (but I'm still having trouble with my phone in terms of storage despite getting a new sd card)

Grabbed a couple pics of my sleepy little town around sunset. The first is looking toward the fire station.

The next is where Fareway Grocery is getting ready to break ground on the new grocery store.

In the center of the background you can see a dark gray structure on the left end of the long brick building. My home is on the second floor of that structure. (It's bigger than it looks. I've got about a thousand square feet of living space plus about 300 square feet of storage.)

Speaking of stunning...
Hi Double R. Nice to see you're staying busy. :)

Hi Pearl,
The one of great value. :)

You’ve made my rotten day better :huggs:
You deserve much better than rotten! How about we ask for a wonderful day tomorrow...! Rich and Rare.

Speaking of ripped jeans… here’s my daughter- she did a modeling gig for a local photographer. The jeans are crazy. DH told her she was missing some pieces of her outfit 😅

Most of my jeans had holes like that when I was a boy.
I didn't buy them like that I made them like that.
I wore out blue jeans and shoes regularly.

Me too. I made my own cutoffs from guy's jeans too. I would just go to the thrift store, get the guys jeans (as they fit better) and cut them up!
