Inside a cabin that was moved from Clarksville TN to Prospect TN. It's very small. But the owners were nice to let me go in it. No one lived there but their grandkids would have sleep overs in it.

I forget exactly where this is. It is N. AL and I was there with Dad when we were out roaming one day.

Kinda looks like Sand Mountain around Larkinsville Al. BUT a lotta places on the NS, CSX and NA look like that a little all over North Alabama, A place on NA between Russellville and Hayleyville;;; Gurley looks that kind way too headed east from Downtown BUT no cigar.

I am hunting for the Post office photo that goes with the train tracks, but came across this VERY nice tree house. It's about 2 blocks from where I use to live. They don't seem to be using it much this summer when I drive by to check on it.

Thanks. I saw some similar ones in ghost towns in California and Nevada.

I wish I had the camera or cell phone back in 1974 -77 when I was traveling the lower 48 states all the time (then hubby was a traveling salesman, and we didn't have a home, we traveled.). There were so many places in the USA that are remarkable. At least I have memories.

When I turned 21 I was living in Munising Michigan, 2 blocks off Lake Superior and next to the inland light house. I didn't take these photos, but I did live in a house just on the left at the end of the road. We had to put in the hot water heater, and 1972 the old house cost $6, 300 and the payments were $70 a month. Going from the South to Munising was a shock as it was getting 200 inches of snow in the winter (Sept - May). I loved it. It took 30 minutes to walk all the way across town. Very safe.

This is the light house I lived adjacent to , and would watch snow fall through the red beam when in bed in the winter. And M28 between Munising and Marquette is /was wonderful. There were no casinos or anything like that.

We use to park the car where that red one was.

I agree! I've been in 43 states. If I won the lottery, I wouldn't need to go outside the United States.

Unfortunately these were all taken with my phone and I'm not expert at that. Would love to start taking some photos with my real camera that I can post too.

I like this one because the root looks like a monkey trying to get away.
