That wouldn't even hold your guns would it? :ghostly:

That's what you think. The only gun I have left is an Ivers Johnson 16 gauge that my grandfather gave me when I was 9 years old. If there was a corner in that round house I'd have a place to put it!

How's Mrs Squirrel Hunter doing?

Sentry,
That picture is an answer to the question:
"Where is the worst place to build a home?"
Floods, bank erosion, moisture problems and wood rot. Those rocks that support it were brought there by the water.
The only places that would be worse are the rim of an active volcano or atop a cottonwood tree with no other trees around it.

That is an old photo. The extended decks have been straightened and reinforced so they won't sag in the future.

I bought kitchen herbs at a big garden center last night. For some reason all their cilantro plants looked sickly. No biggy, not the first sickly plant I’ve nursed back to health.

Funny, one of the plants I bought last night was a lemon balm. Look what I found growing in a pot on the porch this afternoon! A tiny lemon balm had come up volunteer.

For the last 2 days we have been wondering what that particular smell is in our village. Only when the wind blew in a certain direction..

This morning was really bad and mg wife and I went to investigate.we found a dead bird...but then saw the flies. So me being the brave sort I am went to have a look.
The wind shifted, I got a mouthful ot the sweet rotting stench of at least 3 day old dead wild pig!

Right behind our house!

Decades ago when I had moved to Buffalo Ny I came home for a visit. My elderly grandpa only heard NY, he said, "If I was you, I'd take a day off from work and move". I give you the same advice... ;)

Never in my life have I projectile vomited! Until today...

But being the man that I am....I went and took pics...

We called the police, they called the agriculture and fisheries people since its a long weekend..its now gone.

In this high 70s heat it got pretty ripe in a matter of hours....

 @Justin76 I have a pretty strong stomach too but found a dead rat Tabatha the cat had killed on the lawn outside about 3 days old and fly ridden too and the stench from that was horrendous too. I had smelt it too only when the wind blew a certain way. Being brave like I am and the fact I was watering the lawns at the time I bravely called to DH to grab a plastic bag and put it in the bin for disposal the same day the rubbish was being picked up :D . Quite frankly I think I would have lost my stomach had I have done it.

The 2.19kg of chocolate brownies we made, another the same size in a container and the 2.8kg of honey, almond, oat, sultana, coconut granola we made today that we added sultanas to after the picture was taken and it was cooled. We iced one of the chocolate brownie slabs with left over homemade buttercream icing we had leftover in the fridge.

You have to love a site that goes from dead, smelly, rotting, flesh to brownies in 1 post.:)
I brought my wife a fresh brownie from work.
It even had nuts in it.
She then told me she doesn't like brownies.
You would think she would have said something about that before we had been married 45 years.
Learn something new every day I guess.

You call that a bus? This is the real thing.:D and a real sucker practically gave it away for $3600. The paint job was worth more than that.

very nice, other than the fact that the interior colours hurt my eyes and remind me of somethinggout of the early 70s. Did it come with a black light?

:LOL:No black light. But it came with a jamming music assembly. You remember at PS TireIron and a few others helped us on some mechanics. We totally rebuilt that, new front end, all brakes, drums, shoes, etc.
We met the lucky girl at DVR when they flew in from Colorado, and she drove it to Colorado from Jax,Fl. not one problem. I was actually crying the whole time. Never cared that much for anything material in my entire life.
But got mad at hubby for hurting himself working o nit and sold it at Skoolie.,com in less than 20 minutes.
