Mama had her hiking group over here for dinner on Friday night. We had 12 people in attendance who really like eating healthy. I got a "Santa Maria" flavored tri tip, which was 4 1/2 pounds. I also BBQ'ed 5 pounds of baby potatoes, which were coated in olive oil, sea salt, and a bit of sweet basil. I griddled 6 pounds of squash, zucchini, bell peppers and onions, and the favorite was off the cob BBQ'ed corn. The corn was an idea I drummed up where you throw a few pounds of corn on the griddle with a bit of butter and red pepper, sea salt and black pepper. Just keep the heat on high and stirring the corn, until it begins to brown, just like corn will get slightly brown when BBQ'ed. It was topped off with thin slices of green onion.

I have extra here in NW Arkansas! I can send some! I hunted for shore line rocks when I was in Florida. Found some cement around Venice.

LOL, well if you found any they were imported. Lime rock is about it down here. And it crumbles so fast it doesn't hang around long enough to be a good rock. I had to relate to throwing potatoes at my dogs at night when they woke us up barking at the moon or a milli0n frog's in heat..
I never threw them hard to hurt the dogs but it did get their attention and shut em up till they learned what to bark at. And I have a great aim ,played softball for over 35 years up to age 50. And I was good at it too. Loved it.:)

@Patchouli , where the heck did they come from? :ghostly:
They are just out there, in the woods, prairies, crossing the road...I almost hit two different ones on the same road, but luckily was going slowly enough to see them. I thought I did hit the one and we got out to check, it had gone back into the grass. The one pictured.
The one was on the way in to our destination and one on the way out. We took photos of both and they were different, one was a little larger, their coloring was different. My kids have been camping here in Texas for 10 years or so and have also seen tarantulas "out there," at scout camp, etc. and have HANDLED THEM.:confused:

What size is he?
Looks plate size to me.
Yikes!
This was the smaller one. the body was about 2 1/2 , maybe 3" long. I will try to post this other photo, but I have a hard time posting photos from ones I've already taken. I post them live, on the spot, usually.
I'm not afraid of most spiders. Black widows are common here.
